I just send 4 text messages to my brother-in-law that I though I was sending to my husband. Not quite pornographic, but not family-oriented either. :headache:
Please tell me I'm not alone.

If this happened in my family, it would be the hot topic/joke of the next decade of family get-togethers!!

And, yes, you are alone:rotfl2::rotfl2:!!!

First posts the texts (and replies) and then I'll tell you whatever you want to hear!

I haven't done it yet, but it's a fear of mine. Everytime I send a text, I have that "ack!" moment that I have to double check I sent it to the right person.

Hopefully it can be laughed off... try to make it into a joke yourself - it may make it easier on you.

I have about 10 co-workers on my txting list, so yeah, the thought of this wakes me up at night! Thankfully, the only think I've ever done was sent a "Happy Thanksgiving" to a co-worker that I didn't mean to.

You are not alone! A friend of mine accidentally texted a nude photo of herself to a male friend...she intended to send it to her husband! LOL Their names both started with the same letter and were right next to each other in her phone's address book! :rotfl2:

I worry about this on email sometimes. So far so good. (I think.)

Have you heard from the BIL yet?

Oh my! I think this makes your mistake look mild.

Look on the bright side...family get togethers for the next few years will always have a humorous topic for discussion, AND your bil really likes you now.:lmao:

One of our regular male substitute teachers told us that a teacher on our hallway had sent him SEVERAL texts that were obviously meant for her husband. LOL. :lmao::lmao:

WE are not sure that she ever figured it out! :lmao::lmao:

One time a former boss sent an e-mail to one of my male coworkers that she meant for her husband. It was something like "honey, I love you soooooooo much".... She was in her 40's and this male coworker was in his mid 20's! He told me about it and asked if he should say something. I think he just let it go.

At least you didn't sent them to your boss!

Hey, if BIL is your DH's brother, he'll know that his brother is HAPPILY married! :hippie:

This is one reason that I am absolutely terrified of my cell phone. :rotfl2:

A few years ago, I hired an employee in a service position and he had a bit of an attitude. I had to ask him to run a call that looked like it might extend past 5 p.m. and he was NOT happy, but he agreed. He called me back a few moments later but I was on the other line and he went to voice mail. A long time later a voice mail message appeared on my phone..

He had accidentally called me back (unknowingly, of course) and proceeded to cuss me out (to himself), screaming and cursing and calling me every name in the book. And all of this while driving!! The hysterical rant went on until the voice mail finally cut him off.

I didn't say anything to him until the next day (and he was chipper and upbeat). When I told him and played the message, he turned white as snow. I actually laughed it off with him and it's a story we share to this day. I couldn't imagine holding it against him since he was never disrespectful to me directly nor did he speak that way about me to anyone other than his car (and maybe his wife - lol). Who hasn't vented loudly to themselves when they THOUGHT no one was listening? :rolleyes1

I'm curious to know as well.

OP: Hopefully you'll be able to make a joke out of it and be able to laugh about instead of remaining embarrassed.

Thank you for this thread. :goodvibes

I have sent an email making fun of my boss, to my boss (email was meant for my husband).

And all i did was send pictures of a stuff in a store to the wrong person. Thought I was texting hubby and my sister was wondering why I was sending her pictures of furniture.:lmao:

Your problem sounds much more interesting.:surfweb:

My sister sent me " I miss you xoxoxo" I hadn't talked to her in awhile, so I did text back "miss you too" But I really think this was meant for her boyfriend.
