I'm Loving This Non-Winter Winter

I am absolutely loving these temps-- well for January that is.
I haven't shoveled snow in a month.
I was able to clean my car yesterday and not freeze.
I took the dog out this morning w/ a light sweatshirt and didn't freeze.

Old Man Winter can continue to stay away.

I agree! I am loving walking around during the day wearing only a sweatshirt...the last time I did that was when I visited Florida in Jan!!

We still have snow on the ground here, since before Thanksgiving. :cold:

It's just nice to see the warmer weather after the horrible early start to December. Also will help keep the gas bill for heating down.

I know! We should see temps in the 50's the next few days. This should help keep those gas bills down a bit too!

Even though the warm temps are bringing RAIN here I'll take that over cold and snow anyday :sunny:

Yeah, it's nice, but it's doesn't come without a cost. If we don't get a good hard freeze, the bugs will be horrible in the spring. Also, if this keeps up much longer, the flower trees, shrubs and bulbs will pop up and then die when it gets cold again. :(

I'm just full of good news this morning.

I'm also loving this warm January so far . . .but I was telling DH this morning we'll most likely be paying for it sometime within the next month . . . :rotfl2: ::yes::

good news everyone! I just ordered two more ice fishing traps, and installed a cab on my snowblower you know what that means!!!!

NO WAY we get any more snow or will it stay cold enough to walk on the ice LOL :)

You can all thank me later!!!

I'm loving it too. We've had snow only once and that was actually in late fall. Only about 3 inches too--no big deal. We still have two more months of winter though, so I'm sure we'll get hit with something.

We are loving it too! DH says its because he broke down and bought a snow blower this year.

This is the mildest January I can remember for a long time.

It's so nice not to put snowsuits on the kids for a change :sunny:

Well...not me! We just moved to Illinois from Texas and we are waiting on WINTER! We are trying to move back down south as soon as possible so we'd sort of like to have some snow while we can! What did I buy all these boots and snow pants for??? And what about that sled we've used twice?? Sorry, guys.....bring on the snow! :cheer2:

If you are in the NE, you can thank us. We moved up here last March, and I knew there would be no winter because of it. Wherever we move, it is warmer than usual, with no precipitation. I guess we are shiny happy people. :rotfl:

My girls are so disappointed because they have sleds, ice skates, and a pond out back to skate on, but can't do any of that.

I hate this non winter weather! It is going to be 60 degrees here on Friday. I love my snow and am really disppointed that we haven't seen any. I need a good blizzard!

This weather is an answer to my prayers. We're putting an addition on the house and it's still warm enough for pouring footers and foundation. That will probably happen the week of the 23rd, assuming weather predictions for the next 10 days hold true.

Anyone have pixie dust to spare?
