Dani, I can't even express how much my soul aches for you. As someone who's lost many a pet, I can certainly empathize with what you're going through.
I saw some postings on twitter (yes I do stalk you on twitter), so everything makes sense now.
I honestly was never a "cat person" as I always had dogs. That is until about 5 years ago when I drove a friend from work to the animal shelter because she was adopting 2 cats.
Long story short, I too came home with a cat, and I now can't picture myself without her.
I'll definitely be keeping little Snifter in my thoughts.

In my honest opinion, I would look at the extra day as just that... an extra day to do whatever. The good news is there's no bad choice!

So much excitement happening! I know yall will have an excellent trip. I wish I was going at that time! BWV would be awesome! Seriously, after my most recent trip doing a split-stay, I'm addicted to doing them now! I loved it! The variety is so much fun and it's a great way to check the resorts off your list more quickly! I'm not sure if you have the same goal as me about staying at all the resorts, though I doubt it because of the DVC thing. But yeah, fun stuff!

Poor little Sniffler. I'm so sorry about all that yall are having to deal with. It's so hard to have your precious pets not feeling their best. I know that I personally feel guilty about it, even though there's really nothing you can do but take care of them and love them. I've been praying for your kitty though and I hope everything is okay.

And what?! We get in on the 11th! But the first night we are staying at OKW and then switching over to BWV. Too bad we aren't staying the same place, but at least we'll have time to meet up at another time!

BWV will be cool for a night. We were waitlisted at OKW for one night (in the middle of the week!) for our November trip and were booked into SSR. I felt similar where I didn't want to move for convenience sake but also thought it would be neat to experience a new resort. So I'll keep my fingers half-crossed for you!

Oh Kona. One of my favorite restaurants EVER. I live for that juice! I have never tried Tonga Toast. the Big Kahuna is my favorite!

Single Rider at RnR is so tricky! I've stood in it from less than 5 minutes to 45! You really never know!

OH MY GOD I LOVE WHEN THEY FAKE YOU OUT ON ToT. It IS my house though, so being that I live there, naturally I am going to love it.

I am praying for you guys and the health of your cat! Like I said, I've been there and it is absolutely torturous, there is really nothing anyone can say but I just hope she gets better. And if not at least you have the memories of 16 wonderful years with her!

Sorry about your kitty. I had two cats that I lost in old age (both 17+ years old!) after having them since I was a toddler, so I know how hard it is to see them get old and start to deteriorate. I hope Snifter starts to eat and gives you a little more time.

Haha yeah, they allow us Unlimited Vacation... but you can't really abuse it or anything, and in our department, if people start to take too much, it can definitely be frustrating because the others have to take on the work load. BUT it's great for when you want to just add days to your vacation and not have to worry about it! And it's also nice to not have to freak out if you get sick, etc.

We're very excited about BWV, though if we end up at WL for that night, we're of course cool with that, too!

I know! We are so excited about an extra day! And yeah, I think if we are at BWV for a night, it will be really awesome way to see that resort and get a feel for it! I've always wanted to stay there but Beach Club is just way too hard to say no to... but now we have the chance! I don't have the same goal, though I would love to stay at all of the DVC resorts! My next big one is the Grand Floridian, so hopefully one day we will be able to stay there for a few nights (though the points cost is way more than other resorts!)...

September really is coming up very fast! Our flight on the 11th leaves at 9:30am, so it's not too brutal for us... but our flight home on the 22nd is at 7am! Poop!

UGH HAPPY ENDINGS. It was canceled far too early! I'm going to miss the crap out of that show.

I have to say, I was unsure of the party but once we did it, we made sure to book it again. It was just so nice not having to stress out about a spot or having some turd walk up in front of us after we'd been waiting for an hour. That being said, I really want to see Celebrate the Magic up closer this time! But the dessert and the view is just too perfect. It's nice to have that time to sit and eat and relax before the show, with an amazing view of the castle. Plus, $25 is so worth it!

Kona was really delightful, and I'm sure we will go back at some point!

Single rider is so weird at RNRC, I agreee. We just couldn't escape the tour groups!

Hahaha, I know, it's pretty awesome that we have the unlimited vacation! I mean, you can't just leave for like 2 months and never return, but you can take time off as long as your manager okays it! I always plan very carefully for our trip to make sure it's a less busy time around the office, so the middle of the month works best for us. But it's nice knowing I can take that time off and not worry about it, ya know?

Chapter Forty-Five: Why do I make these faces for ride photos?
Day 8: January 24th, 2013

Once I finally found Matt, who had grabbed our delicious cupcakes for later, we both decided to go over to Star Tours and see what the wait looked like.

On our way over, I really wanted to go and visit my BFFs Bob Newhart, Bea Arthur, Betty White, and Walt Disney... so obviously, we did.

I don't know why I love these statues, but I do. I love taking photos with them all. It started last trip and will probably continue on for many more. In fact, our future children will pose with these statues, as long as they're still around.

After catching up with all of my BFFs, we left and headed for Star Tours... which had a longer wait than what we wanted to see... So we opted to head over to our beloved Muppet Vision 3D, instead! YAYAYAY!

After enjoying the somewhat-outdated Muppet Vision 3D (but we still love it, and I really hope they don't completely get rid of it with the possibility of Star Wars Land), we still had time to burn before we saw Bruce and Amy, so we did some shopping and took the time to look at some of the awesome details inside.

Fortunately, on our way in, we did NOT run into crazy painting accidents with old ladies on their Hoverounds (and I mean legitimate Hoverounds, here)... If you read last year's TR, you'll remember the ridiculous photo I captured of an old lady who looked like she crashed into a bunch of paint on her scooter and had a horrified look on her face. It was pretty hilarious.

ANYWAY, I was kind of obsessed with the awesome details in the store... mostly stuff I'd never noticed in the past!

After we left the store, Bruce and Amy found us and the line was still super long for Star Tours, so we skipped over that. Apparently we picked up FPs at SOME point for RNRC, so we headed back in that direction to grab some lunch before our fast passes were ready.

As we made our way over, we ran into our friend Katelyn (who we'd seen a few nights ago at MK with Kira and Derek), who was working in HS. We chatted with her for a while, then went to go get some lunch at Sunset Ranch Market!

I had planned the whole time to go with chicky nug nugs, but at the last second decided to go for Disney pizza! I know most people either love it or hate it, and while it's not my favorite pizza ever, I still really enjoy it.

Matt decided to go with his original plan, sticking with those chicken nugs... which I'm not gonna lie, look really amazing right now.

I think Bruce and Amy also went with chicken nuggets, and we enjoyed a nice lunch in the shade.

While we ate, apparently the Tour Groups decided to leave the parks en masse, because when we got to RNRC, the line was completely dead. So we decided to ride it standby first, which was obviously a fun time.

And then, we provided you obviously with another entertaining ride photo... Because as you all know, we are all about getting off of a ride and hearing people around us die laughing... at our photos.

They are seriously the worst photos ever. I look like a... I don't even know, Matt was on a roll with this face/hand gesture apparently, as he threw that one down again... and Bruce and Amy went with the kiss face.

We went on it again, with our FPs because the line had shot up again... and evidently the tour groups had returned! Maybe they decided to take a lunch break before continuing their ToT/RNRC loop.

We were all in need of a mid-day break, so we headed out of the park. On our way, I traded for a Vinylmation and got this Pluto Mascot one:

I actually hung onto him since I have a little Pluto collection at home.

We lucked out with a boat, and when we got on, we realized there was a duck, just hanging out on the very front of the boat, thinking about life... and he decided to come along with us on our voyage back to the resort, hahaha.

You can see him in that photo if you look closely, right next to the captain who is speaking into the microphone. It was kind of hilarious and adorable.

I was happy to have another mid-day break to rest my feet and body for a bit before we were heading back out.

Next, we head off for another evening adventure, and get ready to meet up with a special guest... MY MOM!

I have been following along on Twitter and Instagram and was so sad to hear about Snifter. I am so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to lose a dear pet but at least she is not suffering any longer. That doesn't help much though
On a brighter note: you will be in Disney before you know it! For longer than you originally planned! And getting to stay at the wonderful BWV (unless your wait list comes through which would be super awesome too) So yay for the positive things going on I'm glad you have trip planning to provide you some distraction.

First, no matter how hard I try not too, your ride photos make me laugh! It's hilarious especially since we know you love the ride but you just look horrified! Tooooo funny! You have raised the ride photo bar for the rest of us
Second, if I was an animal I would be a Disney Duck. Man, they've got it made! Can you imagine just hanging out riding Friendship boats all day?! Lucky! Haha!

We are going to the dessert party on Saturday the 14th.

How have I missed Bea Arthur???!!! She is my absolute favorite Golden Girl! I have complete episodes o the series committed to memory.
We like to have our daughter pose next to Harvet Korman. The leer he has is completely creepy but he is awesome! I love all of those people!

You look like you are in horrible pain in that picture! I will be laughing about it the rest of the evening because I know you did it on purpose!

I'm so sorry about your Snifter. My Fluff died of kidney failure a little over 2 years ago. Losing a pet is heartbreaking. I hope your remaining days are happy and full of love.

Before I comment on this installment, let me pause to let you know, I got the reservation!!!!! Apparently when you call, it was still showing as no availability. I got one very unhelpful CM who tried to tell me that date hadn't even been released yet and to check back. So, between Jenn and I FBing about it, she found the one for 3. I was out all day and couldn't get it to work on my phone. I thought all was lost since I couldn't check again until the next day. And the 3 was still there! So I went ahead and booked it, but made my fake person a child, so the initial debit from my card would be less, and I will just have to remember to cancel. All that to say, I'll be there the 14th, too, along with my mama, who is a super fun Disney person. I can't believe we'll be missing each other that extra first night, but yay for a super fun evening of Wishes Dessert Partying!,

I feel like I really need to give the statues a little more of my time and attention this year.

I love meeting up with people in Disney who you don't normally get to see!

Disney ducks are the best. Seriously, it's like the know they live in the most magical place in the world and really appreciate it! Like this one, just chillin on the Friendship, soaking up the scenery, and enjoying all that is around him!!

So sorry again about your kitty. Losing a family member, human or furry, is never easy.
