...love with my best guy friend. I've had a crush on him since January this year. And that was before we were even friends. I told him that I liked him (with encouragement from a friend) in February. We somehow became friends after that. Well, as the months, days, weeks went by, I've grown to love him more. And well...he knows. And he (was?) kinda creeped out by it. My friends tell me to drop it, to let go and move on. I've tried this before, but it never seems to work. My head is telling me to let go of him, but my heart is telling me that I still love him. We're still good friends, and we talk every day in class and in school. But what should I do? He's the only guy I've truly loved, and practically my only guy friend...my first real guy friend. I'm actually kinda haunted by this...he shows up in my dreams every night. Can anyone help me??

I think you and him need to talk about your feelings toward each other. If they don't match the relationship may not be how you envisioned it to be.

it might not be what you think.

everyone always thinks i'm in love with my guy friends. and i do love them. just as a brother.
since i'm an only child i see most of my friends as my brothers and sisters.

Well...I have attempted to talk to him about it...hasn't worked out. He just says he likes me as a friend.

And I'm an only child as well, so my friends are my siblings, and he's my brother...but I love him as MORE than a brother, too.

Been there, done that. It happens to almost every teenage girl (OR boy). The boy knows you like him like that, feelings are not reciprocated, so there's really nothing you can do. You may think it's love, but it could just be the first time you've had a really big crush on someone close to you. When I was a teenager I thought I was in love many times. But at the end of the day. when I got over the crush, I realized it wasn't love at all. Good luck!
