We last went to WDW June 20th 2003. I am in some serious withdrawal right now and I don't know if I can wait until April 2005!

I've watched our home videos of our WDW vacations, looked through pics, watched ALL the vacation planning videos and nothing has subsided my urge to just make ressies for end of June/July.

What else can I possibly do but just book a summer trip? ;)

My last time there was the week before Christmas last year and we may not be going until 2006 :( So I know how you feel.

Aside from a day at DTD, and wandering the Boardwalk in Feb, we haven't been since Feb. 2002. Thankfully it looks like we're going back next April-but...I've been in withdrawal since our last night in the MK. I think spending that time on the Boardwalk made it worse-I could see EPCOT, but couldn't go in.

I know how you feel. Our last trip was Aug. 2003 and since my DH hates going there, I really don't know when we'll be back.

I know what you mean. we took our 3 kids for the first time in April, and we had so much fun! We hadn't been in 13 years and when we started planning it was "oh I guess we should take the kids to Disney this year" but I think by the end I was the most excited! I'd like to go every year from now on or every other year BUT unfortunately my dh lost his job (actually right before our trip but we went anyway cause it was already paid for)

So now I can't even plan another trip and it is very depressing!although I can tell you it doesn't feel so bad now that we've been back a couple months and we are back to reality!

Some people think Disney should be a once in a lifetime trip (obviously nobody here!);) but if you can afford it I would say go this summer! you only live once!

We have not been since October 2000!
Lucky for me we are going in October this year. :)

Wish Upon a Star, we are right next door to one another, I am in Northford, CT. I am sorry for your pain of waiting until next spring! Perhaps if you have any children of college age you can talk them into trying out for the Disney College Program! Then you will have to take them down to settle in:)

last in the world july 203,, was alrady booked back for july t his summewr,, had to cancel due to medical problems, drs are still trying to rebuild my eye lids after 9 months, and with my weekly trips to drs in another state we couldnt afford the trip. we cancelled and are trying rteally hard not to go ahead and book for 2005 now..lol.. we loves it, will definately be going back asap:)

in fact i got a quote for a 3 day flying trip end of this month today:) dw vetoed that one though:) was gonna go just to meet dan there:)

we got a settle ment check in for lost wages yesterday sooo if i ignore a f ew more medical expenses i could possibly maybe get to see da mouse:)

Belive me, you are not the only one with withdrawal.

For several years, we have gone Memorial Day week. I was out shopping with my middle ds today and said, "Well, we should be driving home from Disney World now."

We're not going this year. We went twice last year -- left for good about midnight on July 20 -- but it seems like it's been forever.

We may not go until 2006, too, and I'm not sure I can stand it.

I say go for it! And if they budget won't handle a family trip right now, do something really WICKED.....call up a gal pal and do a girl's long weekend getaway!

I am right in the same boat with you.
The last time I was at WDW was in December 2002 for DISCON II and I have absolutely no idea when I will be going back. It could be quite a while

Book that trip! We'll be waiting for you. ::yes::

By the way, used to live in Hamden.

Best wishes.

I think doing all that is just going to make it worse!!

Sometimes that little voice inside you is right....Could you go for a shorter version of your 2005 trip, maybe just 4-5 days? I think the little voice is saying "go...go....go....":wave2:

Me too!

I told Not-so-fond-of-Disney-DH that I wanted to go, and he said,"if you book a trip for this summer, that'll be grounds for Divorce"

Oh well, something to look forward to - summer of 2005!

I know just how you feel. We were at WL last June the same time you were at the world. I have been having severe withdrawal but DH and I want to buy into DVC and need to pay off a few bills first. So the plan is to put off the Disney vacations, pay the bills, then splurge with DVC. All good in theory but I am feeling the "No Disney World Blues" too :(

So if you can do it this summer - go for it!

I'll have to second the advice from ibouncetoo. Book it, baby, book it! Even if you have to steal away by yourself or with a gal pal.

I just stayed at Pop Century and whole-heartedly recommend it for a Disney-fix on a budget!

I'm afraid I'm going to understand how you feel all to soon, though. I'll have to forego my Disney fixes for most of 2005 so that I can afford to move to Orlando in 2006. I know the reward (being so close to the land of the mouse) will be worth it. But it will be a tough pill to swallow. I'm sure I'll HAVE to stay off the boards during 2005 or I'll never resist the temptation for a quick little fix. hehehe

Oh yeah...I know how you feel! But we are really BAD! We were just there in April and are going back in less than a week!!! We were supposed to be going to NH next week but then decided to cancel and book a Disney trip instead. Kids still don't know. :)

Hope you get to get a fix soon!!!!!

Jill

When U Wish Upon A Star

I have my degree from the Disboard so don't take my advise lightly I am Mickey MD.
My diagnosis is an acute case of Disney Deficiency. Symtoms will only progress and it is contagious to family members. The only cure is to book that trip and have a great time. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo
