It's true :lovestruc:lovestruc I have never been in love but I just KNOW it. I am 29 years old and have always held out for *the ONE* and I am convinced that I have met him!! He lives about 2.5 hrs from me so we are having logistical issues, other than that, this has been so effortless.

I haven't admitted it to him yet, although he has indicated to me that he feels that way, for some reason I find it hard to verbalize to him....why is that?? We haven't been know each other as long as I would think it would take for me to fall in love (first week of April) so I am being guarded and don't want to do or say anything foolish. He is 42, and divorced (his wife left him for a woman seven years ago and he has dated but nothing serious since then). I am so happy, I never knew how happy being in love makes a girl :yay::yay:

I am going to meet his parents and sister and her family next weekend. I am really nervous. He says that they will love me and wonder what I am doing with him :lmao: Anyway, I just wanted to share that, I can't/don't talk about it much to my family and friends because we haven't been together long and I am not sure what they will say. Also, he hasn't met my family or friends because when he came to my house, it just didn't work out that day, plus I didn't want to introduce him if there was no need. He will be meeting them soon though.

Congrats!! How did you two meet?

well, I'll tell the truth on here...I could never tell this in real life....

we met online sorta. My BFF registered me on Match.com, against my wishes. I honestly didn't want her to but she insisted and I didn't want to hurt her feelings but I REALLY didn't want her to. It was against everything I believed in (for me, not speaking for anyone else) but she did and I just went along with it. Around Christmas, I had just had knee surgery and she told me that someone had sent me a few messages (it was him). I sent him my e-mail address and we e-mailed a few times but I had just had knee surgery and had a few complications plus it being the holiday, I never thought much of it. Also, @ that time, I was seeing someone. Anyway, he was supposed to call me and never did. I didn't think much of it, I was trying to get rid of the guy I was with @ the time (didn't want to break his heart over Christmas). Fast forward to the last week in March and I was out of town on business and he called sometime that week. I didn't check my voice mail until the trip was over and he had left a message. I had forgotten about him but I sent him a text and told him that I was returning from a business trip and he could call me sometime the upcoming week if he wanted to. Honestly, I was just doing that because I thought it was brave on his part to call me after that long and I didn't want to be rude. So he called and he has been calling ever since :yay::yay:

I tell people that I met him through a friend of a friend. Meeting online is something that my family and friends just don't do.

Now, I can't think my BFF enough, of course!!! I told her when she first registered me, that I would make her Matron-of-Honor, joking of course....guess I will get to keep that promise :thumbsup2

Thank you, I appreciate that. I guess I will break the stigma...we'll see.

I have seen and heard many success stories through sites. I hope ours is one of them

How exciting!!

My fiance and I met on Match.com I signed up, met him the next week, and canceled my account. We tell everyone the truth about how we met- most people say they know at least one other couple that met online. It's not so strange anymore, I guess.

Have fun meeting his family!!

Good luck to you two!

My boyfriend and I met online :) He'll be moving in at the end of August!

thanks ya'll. I agree that most people know @ least one couple that have met online. I am sure I won't be able to keep it a secret too long, his family and friends know, therefore it won't be a secret long. Oh well, no matter how it happened, I am glad it did :woohoo:

I appreciate the kind words.

Aww, how nice! It does feel great to know that you have met *the* one.

DW and I met through Match.com and are celebrating 8 years this tuesday!
Nothing embarrassing in any way you meet "the" right person.

congrats!

:cool1: Yay for falling in love!

My brother met his wife online too. She is from Venezuela--how's that for a long distance relationship. They dated for about 5 years, flying back and forth spending longer and longer periods with each other. My mother even flew to Venezuela to celebrate Christmas with her family! They just got married last fall.:cloud9:

Awww congratulations!! And me and my df met online too! Just over a year ago and we are getting married next March.
