I'm in "Car Survivor" Thread (Check it out, updates, links)

I would bring something to prevent you smelling the other people in the car. I imagine it would get smelly in there. Like in the Silence of the Lambs movie they put some kind of ointment right under their noses before viewing the dead bodies. Was it Vick's? Or maybe bring some perfume to dab under your nose.

There is a cream you can use, sold in some hospital supply places. Vicks actually opens up your nasal passages and allows more smells to come in (dive buddy was a cop, played a joke on his students when they did autopsy, he told them to use vicks, it would keep the smell out, but it really makes it worse).
I'm also going to bring sleeping mask to blackout the light, ear plugs and maybe a nose plug.

I also asked you about the depends in a previous post. Oh well, you go girl. We know you can do it Darlene.:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Watching the news right now and the heat index is already at 105 for our area today. Yikes! If I win this thing I think DFiance should send me for some spa treatments at WDW or something... ::yes::

Sounds like you're well prepared.

Good Luck!
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I definitely think you will earn yourself a spa treatment or two!

Will be checking back for updates.

Good luck... That is so exciting! I live in Melb, so PM if you need anything! :sunny:

Wait- so this is for a 1995 Metro? You don't even get a NEW car? Wow- free is free though. Good luck! :thewave:

6.) Sun Block
7.) Deoderant Stick and Spray
8.) Portable DVD Player w/ charger and a few movies
9.) Chewing Gum (the kind that makes you feel like your mouth is cold, wet, etc) who knows if it will work.
10.) Bug Spray

17.) Cell Phone and charger
18.) Camera
19.) Sun Glasses

In the bag I pack for the storage unit, more clothes, shampoo, tooth brush, and more food/drinks.

I looked for a coolie for my neck, but no luck, anyone know where I can find these?!?!

nose plug or perfume to dab under nose.

Only five more hours till I get in the car... gulp! My sister is coming over in an hour and then we are hitting Walgreens for last minute things and then it's off to the ballfield. If there are any local DISer's who liked tickets for tonights game let me know, I've got four extra.

Good luck!!! I'll be sending pixie dust your way!!

You might want to take some Poise pads - umm, 6 hours between potty breaks can seem long if ya gotta go.....

Best of luck - just be careful...I just read this:

You must remain seated in the car in your position until break time which is every six hours for fifteen minutes.

so...does that mean your butt can't leave the seat? be careful when you are stretching or adjusting your pants!

and really - they aren't even giving you guys a NEW car? you're getting one almost 10 year old?

ah well...it's a car, right?
