I'm here at BCV!

This is the second time posting - I just typed a big paragraph and lost it all!
Anyway, we got here on SUnday after spending the night at AS Sports. I LOVE it here at BCV!!!!! We are in a 2 bedroom unit, rooms 557 and 559, and we look out at Spaceship Earth and the back of Epcot. I haven't been in the room at night, but my guess is that you could see Illuminations from here.
As for negatives, I really can't find ANY!!!! Oh yeah, there is no waste basket in the tub/sink area off the bedroom (wow) and there is very little drawer space in the master bedroom.
As for there being no room when the sofa bed is pulled out as someone had posted, we have about 3 feet between the sofa and the tv when it is pulled out - not a problem at all.
Well, I am missing valuable SAB time so I am going to stop here for now. I will try to post again this week.

I was in room 559 as a studio in early August. You can see and hear most of illuminations. It was a great room.

Good news! We got our reservations on the first day they were being taken and requested the 5th floor over looking EPCOT for the week of Sept 8. Hope to get room 559 or one with the same view. Can you tell me if that studio has one or two beds?

As of right now, all the 2 bedrooms have one queen and one sofa bed, but, from what I hear, they are in the process of changing some to 2 queens.

I just wanted to confirm that as far as I know (and hopefully steph you can confirm this) that none of the studios will have 2 queen beds. I am assuming the room you are in is a lock-off 2 bedroom since it has 2 different room numbers. That room will never get 2 qeen beds. The only rooms that will get 2 queen beds at BCV is the 78 dedicated 2 bedroom villas.

When we toured the models at BCV, we overheard the guide tell someone that all dedicated 2bdrms at BCV will have a queen and pull out. When I mentioned to her that I had heard that this was done in error and that Disney would be putting 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom, she said that it had been decided that things were going to stay as they are. Now I know that CMs and guides have given incorrect info before, but I thought I would pass along what she said anyway for whatever it might be worth!

I have just received a reply from DVC about my accommodation request for a studio with two queen beds. This is her reply "... be advised studios at DISNEY'S BEACH CLUB VILLAS have the following floor plan: All studios have one queen size bed and one full-size sofa bed and are approximately 356 sq. feet. When you originally made this reservation there was a question on whether we would have 2 queen beds or the alternate floor plan. Since the resort wasn't even open we were unsure but now that it is open, it has been advised that they do not have any studios with 2 queen beds." I hope Steph is correct when she heard they are in the process of changing some to 2 queens. (lock-off or studio)

Hi Guys,
Well, we will be flying out of here tonight (6:00) and it looks like it will be in the rain! So much for vegging out for one last time at SAB - it is cloudy and looks like it is going to pour any minute!
I am going to go over to the DVC area at the BW and see what is up with this "bed" situation. If they have decided not to change the second bedroom to 2 queens in the dedicated 2 bedrooms, I'm going to be very aggravated, especially after receiving that phone call earlier this summer assuring me that they are changing them.l
I have take a TON of pictures - Sea World and Discovery Cove as well - but it is so slow to upload them here with a dial up modem.
I will put them on Yahoo when I get home.

Hey StephCM, we are here too! We are one floor below, overlooking Epcot ball too! We are in a two bedroom dedicated. We just love everything about this resort! On our way to stroll over to Epcot now.....
