I'm heading to Texas from 3/17 to 3/22 -- who wants to meet up?

I took some time off for a business trip from 3/17 to 3/22, but it fell through. I had the time off and I have some $ saved up, so why not take a trip? I had to find what parks were open, so I figured CA or TX. I held off on CA until Space Mountain opened again at Disneyland, so I'm heading to Texas! I'm flying into Houston on Continental and arriving at 8:16 am.

My itnerary:

Wed., 3/17: Six Flags AstroWorld
Thurs, 3/18 and Fri., 3/19: Six Flags Over Texas
Sat., 3/20: Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Sun, 3/21: Sea World San Antonio
Mon, 3/22: Fly home

I would have gone to Schillerbahn, but it wasn't open until April.

I think I will meet up with TigerBear on 3/17. Who else wants to meet up? I know some of you are in Texas (or wish they were).

I have a really nasty commute most days. Sometimes don't get in until around 6:30 or 7:00. I won't rule it out, but I'm usually wiped out by the time I get home.

I might switch Six Flags Over Texas to the weekend if there's enough interest. We can even meet at DFW sometime in the evening if necessary.

Your trip sounds great! We just went to Fiesta Texas yesterday and had an absolute blast! Unfortunately we'll be out of town when you are here - that's the week of Spring Break around here and most folks have already made plans. Enjoy your trip!

Just wanted to say that I was at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington yesterday. You have to go on the new Superman ride (the large tower ride that drops). My DH went on it and said it was absolutely GREAT!, very smooth. DS (8) was two inches too short so we just watched.

DS (8) and I went on Runaway Mountain and it was a blast, it's inside in the dark like Space Mountain and really fast. Unlike Space Mountain were I can see the track sometimes I could NOT see anything in Runaway Mountain and there were 2 big drops. I'm still feeling naseous today from all the roller coasters yesterday.

You have quite a traveling plan, hope you have a GREAT time.

Let me know what day for sure you'll be at Six Flags over Texas. I'm not sure I want to go to Six Flags or not, but even if I don't go to the park I'd still love to come to a meet on one of your DFW evenings - I just need to know ASAP so I can keep the timeslot free. Let me know what the final plan is.

Just got back last night. I visited my daughter in Austin. We went to SeaWorld and just enjoyed the charm of San Antonio.
If you find yourself on the Riverwalk and if you like Mexican food. I think Casa Rio is one of the best. The tamales and chili are wonderful.

Wish you had been there this past weekend.
