I'm Having Problems. Help!? Update.

I hate hate hate opining up to people. I'm doing this for the good of your friend.

My best friend was sucicidal last year. I let it get too far. She ended up OD'ing and going to the hospital. She lived.

I regret every second I knew that I didn't tell anybody.

My other friend two months later was suicidal too. I told her parents. She was mad at me for days.

I don't ever regret telling her parents.

You did the right thing. If she doesn't eventually thank you, you didn't need her as a friend after all. She'll get over it eventually though.

I did this in 8th grade. I, along with three guys, physically took a girl to the counselor's office. I saw cuts on her arms and she told me she hurt herself. I missed four hours of class that day, and I went home early. (as did the other two guys.) That girl never ever spoke to me again. But there aren't anymore cuts on her arms, and shes in my algebra class. Shes alive, quite possibly because of what my friends and I did. I'm okay with losing a friendship, if I can save a life. You did the right thing. Don't ever forget that.

you NEED to talk too the counseler. please don't think of me any less, but i am suicidle. im only 13 but i have alot of problems. i have attempted only once by overdosing with asprin. the shrink said if i would of taken one more i would have been in the hospital or dead. my friends got me help, i wasn't happy with them at first. but now i'm forever gratefull they did. fact is your friend needs help

I had a friend (who I am friends with again) went through this whole depression thing, like self harming in school lessons. So me and another friend told a counsellor. Then Kelly* was forced to counselling, wouldnt talk to me and my friend for about a month. Then gradually she just got SO much better. It worked itself out in the end.
