I'm happy but now the comes the frustrating part

So when DH and I had originally talked about planning a trip for Dec for His bday I had BEGGED my sis and her DH to come with us, and I understood that she could not take the time off because she is a 2nd year 1st grade teacher and she is being evaluated this year. So, DH and I proceeded to make our plans and our ADRs (yeah I got up at the crack of dawn to get them!) at all of the places we wanted to eat. So now we have ADRs for party of 2 at all of our restaurants. Well we THINK we actually talked my sis and her hubby to come with us for a few days of the trip and fly back which is great because my sister and I are the original Disney gals but now the problem will be finding a place to eat for the night of my DH's bday. It is IMPOSSIBLE to add 2 extra people to our ADRs for that night, and I cannot find ANYWHERE either in or close to MK for a party of 4 to eat the night of his bday. I can get lunch at a a few places, which is probably what we will end up doing. I really wish we could get some place fun like CM but I know that is not gonna happen. I'm SO happy they want to come! I just want everything to be fun for everyone!

You didn't mention which night or the restaurant.

I know that we were able to get seated with extra people at a few restaurants during Free Dining. My neighbours even got a walk up at Sci-Fi for 6 people. We were able to get 2 extra people at 'Ohana (D), Akershus (B) and Crystal Palace (D).

Well so far every ADR we have for each day has nothing available to add 2 extra people. Nothing at all for a party of 4 at any restaurants in MK on the night of my DH's bday Dec 7th. I've gone online, I've called, and I was told there is nothing available at any of the restrants in MK, or close by at the resorts, other than signature dining, which we just can't really do right now. The night of Dec 6th we originally have ADRs at Sci-Fi for the two of us, and there is nothing at all for either lunch or dinner for there that day. I've never eaten here and I really want to, so I think we're just going to keep the ADRs there and split up for dinner. The night of DHs bday, we ended up making an ADR at 1900 (his decision! ) and I KNEW we wouldn't be able to add them there. So, I'm still trying to work something out in the mean time!

When it comes to adding people to a dining ressie, it can get very sticky. The system actually has to look for an open table for four without letting go of your table for 2. You can keep trying to get the table for four (in case mods or xls open up availability), or you can try to get another table for two at the same time or close, knowing that the restaurant can't guarantee that they'll seat you together.
Or better yet - have them booked in a different restaurant at the same time that's available and then you can share experiences later
