I'm Gonna Be A Princess This Time! ~Our Little-Before-Christmas Vacation! Updated!

I just had to say that I LOVE your Wookiee t-shirt! I didn't see those when I was there in September, it so would have been coming home with me!

Looks like a fun trip!

I know! I love Star Wars and I love the Wookie line, so when I saw this shirt I just HAD to buy it. My sister loved it also, she wants one from when we go next time. :rotfl:

I didn't even notice it until I read this post and then I was like "wookiee shirt?" OMG it is sooo cute. You know you would make an amazing Jasmine.

You know you would make an amazing Jasmine.
Aw, thank you. :goodvibes I get that a lot at WDW from CMs. I've always wanted to be a face character for Disney, but I'm pretty thin and my smile is not the best, so I'm not sure I'd ever make it past the audition, hehe

I just finished reading your reviews and I really love it. Amazing pics you got. It looks you really had a great time. Looking forward for the next review. :)

Have a nice day. :)

That breakfast at Akershus looked like so much fun! And seriously, I love that you asked Santa for a car. Girl, you think big! :goodvibes

I love that they had both Santa Claus AND Mrs. Claus at Epcot. That's so cute.

Day 8 - Dec. 19th 2008

Ok, so this was suppossed to be Day 1 of our 2 day visit to Universal Studios, however we quickly came to learn that we can do both parks in one day and see everything we want to see.

Our favorite travel agency, with whom we've had transportation on every WDW trip before this one, came to pick us up at 9am to head over to Universal. We got there by 9:30am and just walked around CityWalk for a bit, looking at the stores and grabbing some Starbucks. We headed quickly over to Islands of Adventure, since it's the smaller park for us. As much as I adore WDW, Universal still has a special place in my heart because I enjoy some of the rides there a LOT and we've always been to Universal while in Florida.
We quickly headed through the Port of Entry and directly to the Marvel area, my favorite place.

I was about to head right into the Single Rider line for Spider-Man, only to discover it was closed! Stand by time was only 10 minutes! Something I've never seen before. So, for the first time ever, I saw the awesome quee are for Spider-Man. I got on and it was great and fun like always. After heading out, mom told me Spider-Man had just gone in the store for pics, so I headed in there to get my pic with him.

After that we wandered around the stores at Marvel for some stuff for my nephews, and I got myself some pretty awesome comic books. We then headed into Toon Lagoon, where I got this lovely pic.

I wanted to get on Popeye's water ride, but I had no clothes to change into and I was going to get soaked. So I headed over to Popeye's boat and got a hold of the water gun and mercilessly sprayed the riders with water while they begged me not to. It was quite fun. :lmao:

We made our way into Jurassic Park, because I just needed to get on the ride. Mom wanted to ride the flying dinosaur ride, but the wait was 75 minutes! So we quickly skipped that...

Wait for Jurassic Park was only 5 minutes and I quite literally walked in and onto a half-empty boat. The ride was great as always and I hardly got wet at all, hehe
After that we headed over to the bridge to the Sinbad area. But I was more interested and what was soon to be there...

*sigh* Soon, very soon, I will be inmersed in the world of my dreams.

Anyway, the Sinbad area is pretty boring to us and we're quite hungry, so we just head over to Doctor Seusse's. I quickly find...

^And my friends Thing 1 and Thing 2!

We rode the trolley ride which was cute, but not worth the 20 minute wait for a 1 minute ride. We then had lunch at the big tent there. I must say, Universal has the greatest food. I could live off their spaghetti and meat balls for days.
After lunch we got on the Caroussusel and then we headed over to see The Grinch Musical. However, just minutes before it was supossed to start, it was cancelled due to technical difficulties. It was almost 2 and we were getting picked up at about 7pm. So we decided we were done with IOA and headed over to Universal, but not without first seeing...

To be continued...

I haven't been to Universal in years so I love seeing your photos! Looks like you were having a good time. Man, I can't wait for the Harry Potter area to open! :goodvibes
