I'm going to Vegas- any recs?

The Roman baths at Qua (Caesar's Palace) are supposed to be great. It's $45 for a pass to use the facilities and is free with any spa treatment.

The Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay. Say hello to the twins for me lmao.
also P.F. Cangs at Plant Hollywood
burger bar sounds yummy- gonna have to look into that. do they have like unique burgers, sliders or something? sounds cool! I think we might head to red square there for the ice vodka bar! We have a PF Chang's a mile away, so we do that all the time, but it is yummy!

Those are suspenders, my brother was just married so I had a suit on at the time. I love suspenders when I'm wearing a suit!!
Okay, you are forgiven then! :goodvibes

i did the Qua spa on my last trip actually and it was awesome, unfortunately I was preggo, so couldn't do a lot of the baths/hot tubs. i might have to go back!! :)

Michelle - Will you post a trip report? I am going in Oct for our first trip and would love to get some ideas from an expert. We have no idea of where to eat (right now the only thing I have planned is Earl of Sandwich - isn't that sad? - but I have to get my Disney fix in) We have just one show planned - Cirque: Love. And we are planning on staying at the MGM Grand unless a really great deal comes out elsewhere. We booked our flight for Oct 10-17. I'll take all the advise you have.

The outdoor bar at Harrah's called Carnival Court is awesome. The bartenders all flip the bottles, it's so cool to watch. A lot of them have even been on tv for the National bar tending competition. They are really good, but it can get a little wild there.

Dh and I really enjoy eating at Cafe Ba Ba Reeba, it's a tapa's restaurant with a big wine selection. Very fun to sit out on their patio and people watch.

Sure, I'd love to!!

I didn't know they had an Earle- I see it is at Planet Hollywood- oh yes, we will be eating there for sure!! :rotfl:;)

MGM is nice, it is just HUGE- so it gets a little crazy and sometimes I get lost in there, it is literally that big! After a few drinks, I might need to leave a bread crumb trail to find my way back to my room! :lmao: Lots of dining options there though.

I can tell you a favorite of mine has always been the Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian- it is owned by the Cheesecake Factory and has a HUGE menu and is open late. We have one now in Dallas, so I don't go there in Vegas now, but it is good for lunch!

I am going to check out some of these burger places- I read about a BLT burger at Mirage too I may want to try.

so keep your eyes peeled for a trip report in a few weeks then :goodvibes

We love the adult pool at Flamingo (nothing like a pitcher of Mojitos brought to you in the pool)... a day there will get your sunning taken care of :yay:

Freemont Street is a nice evening (Summer of 70's promotion on now)... Try the Fitz and 4 Queens (great pool here as well)

Love the Toby Keith Bar at Harrahs (drinking from a mason jar) :woohoo:

Happy Hour Food is great over at Nine Irishmen Pub in New York NY (they actually brought the pub over from Ireland)

Try the Gourmet Ice Cream Sampler at Mandaly Bay (r&c?) $25 for 16 ice cream samplers, feeds two (if you can name the flavors you get the dish for free)

Best Steakhouse - The Range at Harrahs
Best Buffet - Rio

If you got little ones in tow be aware of the "pleasure pit" concept that is everywhere... basically pole dancers at the gaming tables... usually right by the front door!

...and finally (NOT my cup of tea here)... if you like thrill rides the insane people at the stratosphere will strap you into three rides some 90 floors above the ground that zoom out over the edge of the building!!!! :scared1:

I don't know who you booked through but I checked www.billslasvegas.com for the dates you mentioned and you can get a deluxe room, center strip, use of the Flamingo pool (which is very nice) for $450.00. Bill's is close to Caesars, Bellagio, Paris, Ballys, Mirage, etc.

Check each hotels website and sign up for email alerts. I just received a nice offer from the Monte Carlo. I'll check when I get home.

thanks Lori! Think i will pass on the stratosphere ride.....:rotfl: I've done the NYNY roller coaster. I don't need to be hanging off the edge of the stratosphere though. :rotfl2:

lol at the pleasure pit......no little one with us this time, in fact I doubt we will ever bring him along until he is a teenager and able to sort of do his own thing if he wants. I also just love all the slap happy people handing out the uh, 'special cards with pictures' on them and finding them thrown all over the sidewalks. even funnier to see who actually takes them.
:rotfl:

actually we did have a bad experience in New Orleans probably about 20 years ago, we were there with my sister's drill team (catholic school) for a dance competition and were wandering the french quarter, and as you know, many of the doors to certain establishments were wide open. These poor little 10yo kids were walking by wondering what the heck was going on.

Toby Keith bar sounds fun, have to check it out. Thanks!

I know you were mainly looking for lunch and dinner food options, but I have to recommend the breakfast/brunch buffet at Paris. It's my fondest memory of a Vegas trip from a few years ago! :rotfl:

I love Toby Keith's Bar and Grill for lunch and don't forget to try the fried twinkie for dessert:banana: We also really like the buffet at Bellagio for dinner - they have so many different items. Have Fun!
