Just the name sounds good. Is it BBQ? I am a big fan of the BBQ.

Have fun!! :woohoo:

Love, love, love their baked sweet potatoes with honey, cinnamon butter!

Okay now that's just mean. Making me hungry like that! :rotfl:

My family and I love Texas Roadhouse. DH and I try to get there once a month, but we usually just end up getting it to go. Have a good night and enjoy your dinner (supper)

Have a great dinner!!

We have one near us and although I love the food, the atmosphere is so loud. I guess that's why it's called "Texas Roadhouse". :rotfl:

i'm glad you posted this because i have questions about that very eatery.

we have a T.R. opening near us next week. this is a huge event. most restaraunts here are locally owned... and the big chains overlook us.

so what's good?

OMG! I love this place! I got the Dallas Filet both times I was there. So good and SO tender!!! I have never had "melt in your mouth" steak before, but this was it. My dad (who was having teeth problems) had no problems having a bite of it :cool1:

So good! Enjoy!!!

BTW - My parents took us there after my brother's graduation from college. It was my Dad, Step-Mom, Myself, Little Sister and Little Brother. We all had a drink (beers and pina coladas) and we all ate dinner and it was under $120. My dad said we were going to go there for dinner every time we went out!

My FIL has problems with his teeth too, and also had no problems eating here. Simply one of th emost tender steaks I have ever had in a restaurant. I also feel that you can't beat their prices. ::yes::

I enjoy their side salads...both house and Caesar. Their house salad comes with hard boiled eggs in it and no onions! :) I also enjoy the Dallas Filet and DH likes the Cowboy cut Sirloin. We also like that we can get chili and cheese on our baked potatoes. They serve fresh warm rolls (yeast I think) with a cinnamon honey butter. :thumbsup2 As far as beverages, I enjoy the Cowgirl Quencher. I forget which drink DH likes there.

I've never gotten around to trying their desserts, which really haven't appealed to me much.

This place is usually pretty busy, so we either go right at opening or after 9:30PM. Otherwise, you could be in for a loooooong wait.

Ok everyone, tell me...someone from the Northeast - what is a Texas Roadhouse?

I'm so sheltered in my little world just minutes away from the Canadian border. :rotfl2:

It's basically just a chain restaurant that specializes in steaks in the United States. Prices are very reasonable for what you get, which I think contributes to its popularity.

I nwish we had one near us. I only get to one if we're heading down south. Enjoy!

Texas Roadhouse is my family's favorite restaurant! Have a great time and have a roll with the cinnamon butter for me! :thumbsup2

OH I LOVE this place. Whenever my fiancee is over from England we HAVE to go. He so enjoys it. I can still remember his face when he watched everyone dumping the peanut shells on the floor and the servers dancing the first time we went.
The food is sooooo good. I can't pick my favorite part. Love the salads, love the rolls with the butter...and the steaks...well I can't think of a place that I have had a better one.

I think you may have just solved my "what's for dinner" dilemma for the day!

We love Texas Roadhouse. Their steaks are always seasoned well - no need for steak sauce.

The loaded sweet potato is to die for - marshmallows, caramel sauce, brown sugar. YUM

And, the cinnamon honey butter and rolls are the best! We always get tubs of the butter for holiday meals.

I've been to a few high end restaurants in NYC and at the casinos. Texas Roadhouse filets beat any restaurant I have ever been to. They are tender, juicey, favorful and much more reasonably priced. This is our favorite restaurant. Even my ultra picky DD11 finds something she likes.

Last time Iwent there I ate two baskets of rolls and that amazing cinnamon butter...myself! That was just the beggining. I gave the waitress a real accurate picture of eating for two!

Yummy.....just thinking about the rolls and cinnamon butter makes my mouth water. I love the Dallas filet and a side of ribs so I have food to take home. We always take home peanuts too. Get this though....my twins DS14 say that it's unsanitary because of the peanut shells on the floor. I'm thinking that my ex must have told them that so he wouldn't have to take them there!
