hi everyone, my name's Lauren(the storyteller), and i am NOW writing a trip
report that i had back in August...i know kinda late. this is my first trip report, and im only 14. this was our 3rd trip, and since we just joined dvc we spent half of our trip @ AKL Jambo house, and the other half with our cousin and her parents @ Saratoga Springs. ok so know i should tell you who the cast is for this trip.

Me(Lauren): Im the biggest Disney fan youll ever meet, and i love everything about the parks..even long lines.

Dmom:shes 41, and loves everything at disney. she talks aallot!!

Ddad:he is 41, a huge disney fan too, but can get grumpy. he also will have fits sometimes, which youll notice throughout the trip.

Dsis:shes 9, and gets bored veeery easily. unlike me, she wud rather spend her whole day at the hotel's pool than go to the park.

Duncle:hes really fun, and likes to joke around...they join us at the 2nd half of the trip

Daunt:shes rlly talkative, and can get kinda whiny throughout the trip, and annoying.

Dcousin:shes 5, and is a sweet, very talkative, but a little whiny girl, and was so excited to be going to disney with her "big girl cousins".

now lets get this trip reprt started!

-coming up next..."i think we got up a little too early.."

The day of Disney was finally here!! my dad insisted on waking us all up @ 4, even though we didnt have 2 get up until 4:30. thats my overexcited father for ya(imaginary eyeroll). so once we were all dressed aand ready to go BY 4:15, my dad goes, "o guess we got up a little early.." ya think!;)

So, by the time we were boarded on the plane(we took delta as always), i was already giddy with excitement. i dont get it, evertime we go on the plane we always get last, or almost last seats...i just dont get it!
I was talking rlly loud about how i was so happy to be going to disney, that the guy diaganally infront of me kept glaring back...guess he wasnt too interested in me the big mouth....

My sister is just like an old person when it comes to going to the bathroom. i can not tell you HOW MANY TIMES she had to go the bathroom while on that plane, and all the times she had to step over me!! thank god we were rite next to the bathrooms, with the huge line of people standing in front of your face!

then finally we were in orlando, Florida! then, before we knew it we were boarding the Disney Magical Express Bus, and on our way to the AKL.

-coming up next...my dad's fit in the lobby...and so much more!

(srry the one i just posted was part 1, but i forgot to write that.)

When we pulled up to the AKL Jambo House, around noon, the first thing i noticed was the cute grass roofs looking like you were really at Africa! The lobby was beautiful and HUGE, much bigger than Kidani, and had tons of African artifacts. I loved how there was a fireplace off to the side, sirt of like the Wilderness Lodge, seeing as they had the same architect, and the rope bridge high up above.
Since our rooms weren't ready, we decided to take a look around, and find their cs Mara's for a snack before our 2:00 reservations at Biergartens in Epcot. Of course my pig-headed dad WOULD NOT take one look at the big map right next to the gift shop, and went all out into his famous baby fit. When he does these he starts screaming at my mom, swearing, yelling hes going home, and then walks away from the group...youll experience alot of those:).

After a few minutes he decided to join the group again, and following my mom's wonderful sense of direction, we found Mara's in no time:goodvibes.
I loved the tree in the place, and after getting mugs(they are so outrageously priced), and a short snack, we hopped on the bus to the lovely Epcot.:goodvibes

hope ur liking it so far popcorn::..feel free to give me tips

-coming up next...." i dont feel so good..i think i need to go to the bathroom..."

ok, so the first thing we did when we
got to Epcot was go to the service center, and
get our park passes(or something like that). All i
know was that it took 45 minutes in that freezing cold
building!:rolleyes2

Since it was almost time for our lupper
(luch & supper) reservations at Biergarten, we began our trek
over to the World Showcase. Before we went there, we decided
to go to the Living Seas pavillion. We got to see Crush first. At the
part where he asks questions, he asked where babies came from.(i guess
he was looking for the answer hospital), but instead the girl who
was a few years younger than me, snapped,"im not telling where!"
Mind u, there was a whole bunch of really little kids in there. Then,
another kid just blurts out, "they come from the fetus!" Of course the
little kids have no clue what that is, but Crush goes " Whooahh duude,
meant what place babies are born in!" Finally someone gets hospital!:rotfl:

After that we went on the clam shell ride txice, because it's line
is never too long. I love that ride, its so cute at the end when
they sing that song, and the characters are in the real tank of
fish...very creative. We didnt have much time to see
the aquarium area, so we took a quick look through,
and began our walk to the countries. While we were on our
way there, the little pads that shoot water from one to
another were splashing this little boy. So, me and Dsis climbed up
to where he was to get wet. He WOULD NOT give us a
chance to get splashed. Finally after his dad pulled him off
kicking and screaming, we got sopped through the
underwear!:thumbsup2

Once we got to Germany, the hostess told us to wait a minute, and
she'd serve us. While we were wating Dsis and I, got in a
huge fight on who would get there picture taken in front of
what thing. Youll find this was the start of a week long
fight over pictures...lol:laughing:. Once we were seated in
Biergarten, we shared a table with a group of young adults.
At first i thought they were unfriendly, but then I realized they
didnt even speak English! Oooo well!! The German band
was great, and their food was delicious as always! My favorite thing
their is the spotzel, potato leek soup, and pretzel bread rolls. Dsis hates
everything there, except their little bowl of pudding. So, guess what she
ate? About 6 bowls of pudding:bitelip:!! My dad thinks it is neccesary
to have about 4 giant plate bowls of food(or more!)to get his moneys worth.
So, as usual, once we leave and our walking away, my Ddad goes
"i dont feel good, i have to go to the bathroom." ugghh:mad:!! That
means we have to stop at the bathroom every country. Right before we left
to head back to the htel, because THEY, not I, had to go back to the
AKL because they were o sotired from waking up early, i had to stop
and get a picture with the gorgeous stave church in Norway.

Back at the hotel, we were planning on checking out the pool area,
and going swimming, but there was awful thunder and lightning
storms going on, so they wouldn't allow swimming. So, despite my
unhappiness of resting..ugh..., we headed up to see our room. Since
we had just joined DVC, we were staying in a studio, with just a
standard view, no animals. But boy, did we luck out. We got a
great view looking right over the pool, which really came in handy
throughout our stay there. Even though we didnt have the savanna
view, we were rite near the elevators, where there was a big glass overlooking the savanna, and it was really great to look out and see
the giraffes, zebras, and the other animals.

Our room was really nice too. It was pretty much like a normal room,
except it had a tiny kitchen thing, and there was a pullout
couch instead of two queen beds. My parents slept in the queen
bed, and my Dsis and I had the pullout couch. It was very comfortable,
but the only problem was that there were practically no sheets for it,
so we had to ask for a ton more. Then, we finally laid her heads down to
a nice first day sleep.

-Coming up next...."I will never go on this ride again!"

For our 1st full day at Disney World, we decided to go to
AK. We woke up early to make it there before rope drop, filled
our muggs, and were on the bus.(is is just me, or are these buses
freezing cold?) Once we got there, we had just missed rope drop,
but we still walked as fast as possible to get to EE. Of course first
we needed a picture in front of that beautiful Anandapur bus!:goodvibes

I gtta tell you the one thing i CANNOT stand while
waiting in line for EE. The bells hanging outside, ppl just
love to bang, so that they make the loudest, most annoying
sound ever!!:scared1: Put a whole bunch of those bells together
at the same time, and aaaawwww!!! Finally, we reached our
expedition train. Im such a big wuss, and I make my dad
put me in the headlock grip, while we go on that ride. It's always
fun and refreshing.

After EE, we decided to make our way to Dinoland USA, and
try Dinosaur, which we hadnt been on since our
first trip to Disney. My dad quickly vetoed going on this,
so it was just my me, Dmom, and Dsis. I was suprised how
empty this ride was, at this time of day...Anyways, last time I went
on this i absolutely hated it, especially it's jerkiness, so I was
excited to see how i would like it.

After Dinosaur, me and my mom both loved it!:) Noot so much
my sister.... She came off saying, "I am NEVER going on this
ride again!" And when we went to see our picture, sure enough
while everyone was smiling, having a great time, my sister was bent
over, hands over head, loooking absolutely terrified...fuunnnyy:laughing:!!

Then, once we rejoined Ddad, we decided to trek on over to Camp
Minnie Mickey, and see the Lion King Festival, but first we had to stop
for a bite of lunch. We chose Pizzafari, we go there everytime. I love
their ceaser salad. Of course, again, my sister didnt't like anything there.
But, she insisted that she liked their pizzza, and then sat there picking
it apart, and finally i decided to help her out, being the wonderful
sister I am :goodvibes.

Then, we saw The Lion King, whiich is always a great show.
I was pretty sads though, because i was sitting in the front, but
they still didnt pick me or my sister to do anyhting. One hilarious thing
did happen though. In one stand, the man picked a boy to help make
a lion noise, and he asked him his name, and the boy just goes,
"I dont know?" It was absolutely hilarious:lmao:!!!!

After the festival, we thought it would be best to go to the asian
area.

-coming up next...."stop taking pictures if the gorrillas butt!"

When i left off, we were heading to the Asia
section, and posed for pictures in front of some
carts. We were trying to make it look like we were
pulling them, but Ddad was insisting that we werent holding
them correctly. Finally we got it:thumbsup2. Before going
on Kali River Rapids, we stopped and took a look at the monkeys.

Kali was awesome!! I could go on it again and again.
Actually sometimes that does happen if Dsis and I, dont
think we got sopping enough. I feel like I never really get
that wet on this ride. It seems like my mom and sister always have the
luck! Then we went on the Maharajah Jungle Trek, seeing
the gigantic bats, and those awesome tigers! Everytime I
see them they seem to be sleeping though, which annoys
me. It was really funny, because in the water we saw a
really long piece of poop floating in the water, which looked
exactly like a long sausage! Near the end of the trail, my Dsis
and I, began that fight again on who would get their picture
with what. Oooh brother. If its any conselation, Im pretty sure
she started it;)!!

Once we reached the Africa area, we saw the sanctuary
with the gorilla in it. It's butt was turned to everyone, and
it appeared as if it were licking the ground! My Ddad started
snapping a ton of pictures. "Stop taking pictures of the stinkin
gorillas butt!" My Dmom cried. It was absolutely hilarious. It
seemed as if my Ddad was fascinated with the stupid gorilla's
butt!!:rotfl2: Next, we went on the Kilimanjaro Safari, which is always
good, except the elephants weren't around. Bummer!

Right be4 we left, we saw the Flights Of Wonder
show for the first time, and it was pretty good!:thumbsup2
I would definetely go see it next time we go to WDW.

-coming up next...."do u seriously like that?"

When we got back to AKL, we decided to take a late
dip in the pool, before our 7:00 dinner reservations
at Bomas. So, we went back to our room, got in
our swimsuits, and headed down to the pool
area. AKL had a really large, nice pool, with an
outdoor bar. They also had a lot of little activities you
could do there as well. The pool was very crowded,
and the slide wasnt all that great. After awhile, we
headed back up to the room to get dressed for dinner.

My Dmom and I, decided to wear summer dresses
to dinner. The trip before i had gotten an african
cheetah dress in AK, so i wore that. Dsis didnt wanna
wear her dress, so she stayed more casual. It was a very
long wait until we were seated in Bomas, and there
was a huge line up at the buffet. The food that I
had was good, but i was kinda picky and didnt eat
much. My dad came back with this weird watermelon salad.
I was like, "did you actually like that?" i mean cmon
it looked absolutely disgusting!:scared: But of course
he liked it, and again gorged himself with tons of
food in yet another buffet. The dessearts at Bomas
were pretty good too. The only dessert i really didnt
like, was zebra domes. Yuck! They were waaay too
sugary for me!

Then, after a filling dinner I really wanted
to go see Fantasmic, but my plans were ruined
when it thundered and lightning the rest of the night.
Looks like no swimmin in the pool either:sad2:.

So, we headed back up to our room, and ended
day two of our disney adventure.

-coming up next.....tying a toddler in the hook and loop contest!

The next morning we got up early again, ready
to get to Epcot before rope drop. This time we
actually did!:thumbsup2 The characters were all lined
up saying hello to the kids. I was trying to high five
them every time they came around, but this
stinkin kid just kept getting in my way! Ends up
i didnt get to give the characters even one high
five!! Once the rope dropped we headed to
Test Track, my most favorite ride in Epcot!

We ended up not waiting that long in
line becuz we got there so early, and the
ride was great as usual!!:woohoo: After that, we
decided to go to my next favorite ride Soarin.
Of course, that ride was amazing. i love how it
feels like your actually flying!

Next, we headed to the Innovention
buildings , and while my mom and sister were off
playing games my Ddad and I went to the Hook and
Loop game show. I was against a little 4 year old.
We had to build a tower out of hook and loop blocks.
I hate to admit it, but mine was really crappy. And then to
make it worse, the whole tower fell over...oops.:rotfl2:
The lady said we were tied, but i had a feeling she just did
that so that i wouldnt feel bad. Because, it was as clear as
day, that the little 4 year old had beaten me. There was a
ton of other fun games to play in Innoventions, like a virtual
game, where we had 2 jump, and then do a victory dance.
There was also a piggy bank game too! They were all very cute.

After that, we headed to the Imagination buildings.
First we saw Figment, which i personally love. Especially
the song...its so cute! Then, we saw the Honey I Shrunk
The Audience 3D show. It's so cool, especially when the
mice come out. I dont really like the snake part, or the
cat/lion part. I can tell the smaller children in the audience
dont either, based on all their screaming.

-coming up next...seeing a disney celebrity in Japan!

After finishing the Imagination pavillion, we
trekked on over to the World Showcase. We were
nearest to the UK, and got to go in the stores,
where all the guys kept calling us "princesses".:bride:
My mom kept nagging me to get a picture next to Mary
Poppin's bag and lamp. This then started a fight with
Dsis, because she wanted her picture taken with something too,
so we fought over who got their picture taken with what..again:laughing:.

As we walked away, and were crossing the bridge to
go to France, what did i spy with my little eye? Something
pink with golden hair....why it was no one else but my most
favorite princess! Sleeping Beauty!! I immediately ran over and
just HAD to say hi and get a picture! She was very sweet, and was
asking us if we saw her fairies. Then these guys in suits walked
over and said hello, and gave us Arielle tattoos. Cool rite!:thumbsup2
The weird thing was that no one was over there saying hello to her.
I mean, heelllooooo it's sleeping beauty!!!

This time i noticed for the first time on the side of the lake
in the france area, that there is a little rowboat, bike,
and painting on a easel. Have any of u ever noticed it?
Anyways, we moved on to the Japan section, and as we
were about to go into the Japanese store, we see a ton of big
cameras setup, and the guy Mikey from disney 365, and Brandon
Mychal Smith, who plays Nico from Sonny with a Chance. They
were doing a commercial for Disney 365, on this new Spectrobes
game thing. Behind them, they were videotaping kids playing and
watching the game, that was setup in front of the store. I couldn't
believe it!!!What luck!!:goodvibes. Then, they said that if you
wanted to be in the commercial you could stand behind the actors.
And guess what? About a month after when that commercial appeared
on Disney Channel, I was on it!! Well, my whole backside that is....
but it was still me!

After having a great time, I started getting a bit cranky
and whiny. The reason was, is becuz my parents didnt wanna
see a show 2nite, they just wanted to go back to the
hotel. But i would not have that! I had already stayed at
the hotel for two nites!! At almost every country my parents
would try a drink...and once we entered Morrocco, the whole
fight with pictures started again. We both wanted a picture
infront of everything! Then, we went to China, where we
watched the(no offense) o so boring movie...and we had a
planned dinner reservation at Tutto Italia in Italy, but
decided to go to the Chinese restaurant, the Nine
Dragons. I honestly didnt like my food at all, but my
parents liked theirs. Even though my food wasnt that
good, they were very nice, and had great servcie.

A little while after dinner, my dad and sister
decided to go back to the AKL, and my mom and
I were going to stay and watch Illuminations.

-coming up next....going in the single rider line
for my first time ever! and much more!

After my dad and sister left to the AKL,
my mom and I had some time to spare
before Illuminations. We decided to go
Ellen Degeneris' Universe of Energy
before it closed for the night. I love
that show, because its just so funny!!:goodvibes.

Then, we decided to go check out Test
Track, but the line was too long. And then, I
did something ive never ever done. My mom and
I went in the single rider line. I finally felt comfortable
enough! I know, Im a big girl now!!;) It actually ended
up that we got in the same car anyways!:thumbsup2
It was cool though, because i got to sit next to this
teenager who had never been on Test Track, and was
really nervous. I had to assure her that everything would
be fine, and she would love it! And of course she did!! Arent
I always rite...:rolleyes1

Next, we decided to walk around the lake to
find the right spot for the show. After finding a nice
area, we went to a snack stand. I got a root beer
float, and my mom got a coffee frappuccino.
Mmmmm yum!:goodvibes. Then after another
hour the show began....it was soo beautiful.
Its almost as good as fantasmic...but not quite.
I love when the big ball comes out too. And then
"BOOM" fireworks shoot out from right in front of us!
I remember the whole time that lightning was cracking
in the background!

After the show, my Dmom and I headed
back to the AKL, and then fell fast asleep,
after another great day at Disney World!:goodvibes

-coming up next...a whole lot of a laughing place,
again and again and again

The next morning we woke up early again
(cant u tell were early risers;)), and were
planning on heading to MK, since we hadnt
been there yet. So, we filled our mugs yet again,
and headed there to get there for extra magic hours,
and thelittle morning show thing, where the characters
come out.

Frontierland was open for extra magic hours,
so we headed to Splash Mountain, my most favorite
ride in all of Disney World!! We got right on the ride,
so we went on it again, and again, and again. The last
time my mom got absolutely soaked! And i was suprised,
because it never seems like anyone ever gets that wet on
that ride. When they take your picture when you go down the
big hill, i thought it would be a great idea to make weird faces,
and it was sooo funny!!:rotfl:

Then, we decided to go to Big Thunder Mountain
Railroad, and got on that two times. Adventurland was
our next stop, so we went on Pirates of a Carribean,
and for some reason ive just always hated that little
drop in the dark...it just freaks me out!:scared1:
Next, we went to the Tikki Birds, where Dsis and I
had yet another fight over picture taking, but it
ended up that we both got our pictures taken:thumbsup2

Then we went to the rides and attractions
in the Fantasyland area, and then before leaving
we stopped at Casey's Corner for some lunch. They
have the best little mini corn dogs there! yum!

Next, we hopped on the bus to
take a nice dip in the pool, but we weren't
too sure if we would keep our dinner
reservations at Mama Melroses....

-coming up next....my new little buddy!:)

Once we got back to the AKL,
we filled our mugs again, and got in
our swimsuits, and headed to the
pool. When I was going down the
slide, and got in the water, my sister
was getting yelled at by the lifeguard
for going down the wrong way. Then, all
of a sudden this little boy who's like 3 or
4 just goes to me, "hi!" i was like uuhh hi?
Then he's all like, "you wanna be my friend?
we can play my game together." I was just like
okk. So, i ended having to go up and down the slide
with him a million times, as he yammered on and on,
about how much he loves the slide. My dsis looked
reallly left out, so I made an excuse that I had to go
back to the hotel room. Plus, his dad was saying he
needed to go. By this time we were going to
actually go back to the room, but my mom
wanted me to go up and see if my dad was
still in the shower, and come down and tell her.
So, me being the big girl I am, went up myself.:goodvibes

And who should be in the elevator, but my little
buddy!!;) He was in a really pissy attitude, and he
wouldnt say hi to me, even though his dad was telling
him too....ooo well. After taking showers, my parents
decided it would be best just to stay at the hotel,
(much to my dismay:guilty:). So, we had a bite
to eat at Mara's and began packing for our
second half of the trip at Saratoga Springs.
And AGAIN it was raining, so we couldnt
swim in the pool! Instead we had some Mickey
ice creams, and then once it cleared up, we
took a bus to Kidani, to check it out.

It was NOT what i expected. The lobby
was very small, but the pool area
was pretty nice. Of course right when
we walked out to the buses, there was
no bus there, so my dad claimed he
needed to go to the bathroom. Oooo
brother! So, as he was gone for
THIRTY MINUTES, my Dmom, Dsis,
and I watched as every bus going
back to Jambo passed by. We
must have coounted at least
6. Then, finally! My dad finally
appears from the bathroom.
Yaayy! Then, we hopped on the
bus, and then went to sleep
for our last night at the AKL.
I was gonna miss that place!:)
