 I just booked our first stay at HHI in a 2br, June 13-19. I reserved Friday on cash, as people suggested. ($352.50); they said I could switch back to points if I decide we don't need to conserve them for something else, as long as points inventory was still available..(that's where I guess I don't understand the accounting part of all this... but whatever, it's fine)!

I'm really excited. I was getting worried from other posts that I wouldn't get in.. (I'm guessing that was the week before when the points were less).
I intentionally haven't been looking up official HHI visitors sites in case I'd be disappointed... but now I'm ready to search and I'll have something to pull me through the winter months ahead! :woohoo:

Got on the phone first thing and got a two bedroom for the 13-18th. My kids are going to be very excited. I'm very excited. This will be our 4th trip to HHI and third to DVC's HHI in 2 years. You are going to love this resort. The CMs are the absolute best.

Hi marynvince; nice to hear that someone from the boards will be there too!
We have two teen/adult daughters (15/19) and at this point I'm not sure if they will bring buddies/boyfriends (I hope at least the 15yr/old can find someone to come)..but both are already asking me about "what's there to do" which I don't really know all the answers..
It will be a different type of beach experience than what we're used to here in DE, but I really hope we are all as taken by this resort as everyone who posts here. :goodvibes

We'll be there too, same dates.
I had the 14-18 booked already, but needed to use my BWV points for 1 night, so I booked the 13th and then booked the 18th cash. 2 bedroom villa.

My sister in law called at 9am and couldn't get a 1 bedroom, so for now they have a 2bedroom and are hoping the waitlist comes through.

We are going in May but I am trying to take my Mom for her birthday in July but I have to wait a few more weeks to try that.

It is different, but wonderful! You will love it! We have a place in north OC but the ocean on HHI is so calm and warm compared to our beach-it's nice to go in the water and not worry about the next killer wave getting you! We also find the restaurants less expensive and in some ways better than some of the places we go to in the DE and MD resort areas. We're hoping to get a reservation the last week in June-our daughter and her husband are teachers and we figure that allows for add on days in case we have a bad winter.

We will be there 6/27/10-7/2/10. Made the ressie for a studio at 11 months. I can't wait. This will be our first trip to HH:cool1: I have 2 boys (9 and 5) and I know they will enjoy the beach, pool and all the activities.

I'll have 4kids in tow 16dd, 14ds, 12ds, 5ds. There is a teen night out, a movie. There is a campfire sing along 2 nights. The canoing trip on the sound is fun, we got real close to dolphins. The dolphin trip scheduled through disney is great too, smaller boat real personal. The cast members are great. It's a more laid back vacation but the Disney cms keep the activity level and fun quotient high. We're thinking of adding on here just so we dont have to stress the 7-month reservation.
