I'm going to Cooperstown NY!!!

My DS is playing in a baseball tournament there in June...my vacation just got approved today. I am so excited!!!

Anyone from that area with suggestions on things to see/do? (besides the Baseball Hall of Fame...duh )

Hi Dopey RN! There was a thread a few days ago about Cooperstown and several people posted about other things to do in the area. Try a search and see what comes up.

I really enjoyed just walking up and down Main St. The town is on a pretty lake and there is a park down by the water with benches where we just loved sitting and letting the kids run around (no playground equipment, just lots of grass). There was a nice boat ride on the lake that gave you a little tour that was really nice. Also, we would go into the Hotel Otesaga which is this grand old hotel on the lake and sit on their porch in these great rocking chairs and enjoy the view!

Went there 2yrs ago with DBF and had a great time. I love the old fashioned small town feel there!

Went there many moons ago.


A great place for baseball nuts and a great town as well.

Hoping to make it back in a year or so.
