ARRGGH!!

Yesterday I had decided that yes, on payday i'm booking DLH for Feb...Now I keep changing my mind thinking that the MASSIVE £800 difference can't be worth it and we could go for less than half the price!

Cheyenne is only £350 that week DLH is £1100...........it's such a huuuuuuuuuuuuge difference! I thought maybe we can stay 1 night in DLH and the rest (3) in cheyenne? Do you think that'd be too much hassle? Anyone done something like that before?

Damnit even 1 night at DLH is £650...crazy! Is there a way to add an extra night or something for cheaper than that?

I just *need* to stay in DLH at least once!

If you do split your stay do Cheyenne first as if you stay in DLH first you may not want to move.
The other thing to be aware of is that you will have to be out of your room in one by 11 and then probably cant get into your new room til 3 so will have to store your luggage (you could do this at either hotel). You would be able to check in to the 2nd hotel early though. If you phone for prices it may be cheaper as what you are looking at is the price for a 1 night stay at DLH and 1 night somewhere is always more expensive whereas they may have a different price for 4 nights but split (hope that makes sense but i know what i mean)
Weve done split stays but with off site hotels - we did a few nights at magic circus and then moved to DLH and another time we did a few nights at Explorers and the moved to Sequioa

I would love to stay at Disneyland hotel I just cant justify the prices! Why dont you wait until there is a better deal like 40 or 50% off? But a split seems like a good idea. Im waiting until I win the lottery to stay in one of the suites haha

xx

That is such a ridiculous price,no way could I justify it!

it's just a hotel at the end of the day, :confused3 and that isn't the main thing @ Disney for me

would prefer to spend money on nice meals whilst there, and some souvenirs etc

BUT if you can afford it and have your heart set on it,then go for it :goodvibes

Even though the idea of staying at the DLH fascinate me no way i could pay that ridicolous price.
For me the hotel is just a place to wash and sleep and the more i can save on the price for it the more i can spend for my fun :thumbsup2

Personally I would not pay that price (sorry I know you probably do not want to hear that :lmao:). You could have another holiday on that, once say spring and once halloween?? or christmas :goodvibes

I agree with the last few posts above. No way would i pay that much extra to stay in the DLH. I know many people love it but personally i wasnt that impressed.
I would much rather put the money towards another stay, much much much rather. Have i emphasised that enough.:rotfl2:

My favourite hotel is definately the Cheyenne, despite it being the cheaper end of the hotels there is just so much theming to the place. We love it!!

Although one trip we did decide to stay at the Disneyland hotel as a splurge as it was a special trip I would not pay that amount to stay there (we didn't pay anywhere near that amount!) The hotel is lovely, but way over priced for its star rating. I can't justify paying more than £100 more per night to stay there over the New York.

Is that really the price that everyone else pays to stay there? i can't imagine !

that's the cheapest I could possibly find too, apart from late january being £970

It does seem insanely expensive but i love it so :(

You're all right though.... I really can't justify it, I could book 2, even 3 trips for that price!

What is that based on?

Is it including travel? and for how many people. I just did 3 nights on

http://www.disneylandresort-paris.co.uk/Accommodation/Availability.aspx

for 2 people at the disneyland hotel and it came up with £739

that includes room, breakfast and passes and that was on the 24th January 2011

and for the same its £762 on the disneyland website

Its blinking expensive you can get a trip Orlando for that price for 2 weeks! xx

It's for 4 nights, without travel.

It's a shame it's so much. At least with the extra cash I can visit there for meals and the bar :)

I literally cant believe they charge so much money to stay there. Ive looked at pictures and for that price I would expect the rooms to be nicer! It looks a little oldfashioned if you ask me. Personally I would save the money for a holiday somewhere else plus the other bit can be put on a cheaper stay at disneyland xx

I'm with the others in that you could get another holiday out of that price diffference ~ the DLH costs way more than I want to pay per night. Disney can get away with charging that much for the DLH because it's all down to location location location. It was the same when we stayed at the Yacht Club at WDW, you're paying for the location, although at least at the DLH you get a breakfast and park tickets included.

I'm never that fussed about hotels normally, so long as it's clean and comfortable then I'm happy, BUT I have got a stay at the DLH on my bucket list. Just the once mind, then I'll be happy to slum it again! :rotfl2:

Kittina ~ how about waiting until it's a really special occasion like a milestone birthday or anniversary then celebrate it with a stay at the DLH? Although these 40% discounts won't be around for ever ...........

Will look forward to hearing what you decide, whether you listened to your head or your heart! :goodvibes

We stayed at the DLH in sept this yr on a 50% off offer and whilst quite pleasant IMHO not worth the money we paid even with the 50% off offer, you really are paying for the location over anything else. Ok so I did get a kick out of being seated in california grill with a view of the castle for breakfast and the character interaction is good too, but still very expensive. Would we go back to the DLH again, yes but only for a drink or a meal for a special occasion, to stay no. I can however understand the inner motivation to stay there as I was the same and with the offer was a no brainer as we wouldn't have ever paid the full price, but when all was said and done was disapointed, think it's the hype of how most people have it on the must do list, yes lovely in parts but as the phrase goes a bit fur coat and no (well may get into trouble for the last word?!)
My advice would be to stay but wait for an offer as like me you need to get it out of your system, as until you see for yourself you won't rest!!!
When you do go *** you will eventually:rotfl2: you may think it's the best ever but in the cold hard light of day financially maybe not. Good luck wrestling the inner demons:lmao:

i agree with all the others, i would love to stay there but not at the prices they charge.

Staying at the DLH is on my list of things to do before i'm 40, i'm 26 so have a while to save :rotfl2:

I would love to stay there now, but just can not justify the huge price, i would rather stay at the Cheyenne and have the extra to spoil my boys when we're there.

Have a fab time wherever you decide to stay though! :lovestruc
