I'm going crazy! (mini-vent)

This dog that belongs to the house across from my house keeps howling and barking like crazy!It's a big dog, with a LOUD bark, I think it's a rottweiller (sp??) and the owner isn't home so there isn't much I can do..... I hate to have to shut my windows of my room because my computer makes it so hot! But this dog has me (literaly) pulling out my hair!! It won't stop howling it's head off!No one is even outside! There is abosulutly nothing to bark at!!! Is this separation anxiety or something? I really want my mom to call them and tell them that their dog has beewn barking all day, non stop, hoping that they might do something about it. This is not the first time I've heard this dog bark a lot. Hopefully, they'll be home soon to tell the dog to stop barking.


I just had to let that out somewhere... so why not the dis!

I feel your pain. We've got one behind us that barks a lot! There are times I can't even go out in my backyard because it doesn't just bark, it HOWLS and SCREAMS.

We haven't called the athorities yet because it's actually better than when we first moved here. If I ever move, I'm going to police the neighborhoods first and make sure there are no barking dogs before I buy a house.

Depending on where you live....either call animal control or the police. Enough documented complaints and something will have to be done.

I like dogs...but we have some people in our apartment complex who leave their dogs out on the balcony all day long! That is wrong....had to file several complaints...but hey...I have rights too

Here's a big DIS hug for ya! We've got a Basset hound next door who suffers from separation anxiety...nothing like a hound dog howl in the middle of the night to wake you up. Everytime they have company the dog goes outside for the entire time the company is there. Luckily the house is up for sale...but blast it all, when they are showing the house the dog is in the kennel...only time she's ever in there....which means the prospective buyers are probably thinking...cool, we can have a dog outside...not suppose to with the covenent rules!

Okay. now that we've vented together...I feel better! How about you?
