Just wondering if any of the photo board members will be in WDW on January 3rd, 4th or 5th? I will be there those days and would like to see if I can meet any of you!

This will be my second and last. At age 53 I have proven I can do it and it is hard on the old body.

You start in parking lot of Epcot go to Magic Kingdom and through Magic Kingdom. then back around the GF and back to Epcot. You then go to the lagoon and back out the front to the finish.

A disney event is special with bands and characters along the way! Even the participants are special! LOL

My sister will be running in that as well. It was my plan to be there for that but I was there this past weekend instead and couldn't get more time off from work. Good luck in the race. Pace yourself and enjoy it.

Go external. Especially if you've got a USB 2.0 port. I think I saw in the paper this past weekend a 1TB drive for around $180.

I've started using 1tb internal drives and a dock...

the dock cost me 40 bucks, I then buy internal 1tb drives for under 100, and can swap out drives whenever I want it's like having a large card reader...LOL

Good luck! I ran the 5k last year and was planning to do the half this year, but my lazy butt couldn't get the training schedule done...babies waking up in the middle of the night will do that. We're going next weekend, but I'm already missing being there for marathon weekend! Have fun!

So...big thanks to Laura (Quicklabs) for making our 09 trip to Disney possible!!

We'll be down there December 13-18 of this year to finally see The World at Christmas. I've got 11 months and counting to get better at this whole photography thing and make a list of shots I'd really like to get.

It's great to see that even though hardly any of us actually "know" eachother, we are still able to help eachother out and do whatever we can to make eachother happy...whether it's renting points out to another DISer, buying (or picking up) camera equipment or just offering words of encouragement. So thanks to the rest of you too, for all of your advice, opinions, patience and great photos that you have shared.

Oh yeah, did I mention....we're going to Disney!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, did I mention....we're going to Disney!!!!!!!

Oh believe me, I am. (See, multiple banana men ) We just found out at work we aren't getting our profit sharing or year end bonus...so this made my day! Plus, we haven't been since September 07 (it'll be over 2 years when we go back) PLUS PLUS PLUS I LOVE CHRISTMAS---so it'll be the perfect time to go and get in the holiday spirit (and to get away from the stress of working, wrapping, baking, shopping, decorating...the list goes on and on)

Hopefully some other Photo board DISers will be down there when I am so they can pass along some pointers in person!
