I'm going back ..I've booked...I'm sooo excited

I haven't been around this board for a while ...sorry.
We had planned to return to DLP in Jan 08 but with the high food and oil prices we decided to leave it for a while
so I had to stay away from the DIS board to try and help the grieving process


But I am back now so that must mean that ....YES YES YES yesterday my dh finally gave in and said YES YES YES

We have booked to go 4th - 8th Jan 08 staying in the Cheyenne with half board plus vouchers.I haven't told the boys yet ,they will be getting the trip from Santa

Since yesterday when I booked both the hotel and the plane tickets I have been all Disneyed up
and then last night when I was researching I found out that we will be there for the last 2 days of the Christmas season 5th and 6th I am sooooo excited

The last time we went to DLP was 11th Jan 07 and there was still a few Christmas decos about but with going on the 4th this time will we get the full Christmas theme??

-Santa
-Fantillusion
-A Christmassy castle

Has anyone been in DLP before at the crossover from Christmas to Jan? What can we expect? Will we get a full Christmas calendar?

Wooo thats fantastic!!! Bet your really excited, planning is so much fun and gets you really buzzed lol. I was there last Dec for the Christmas season (near the start) and although it was SO cold, it was really lovely and gorgeous to see. All the decorations, parades etc. I'm so glad i've seen it at Christmas. You will all love it i'm sure.
Oooh love your new countdown too! And Stitch.. he's adorable.

Ooh the boards are goona be quiet in Jan 09.

We're also there from the 4th to the 9th and we're taking DGP along for the ride. It'll be their first trip and it will be extra special still havin the Christmas decorations.

Nah, I don't think it's too long Steve. Like you said it gives you time to savour the details and allow plenty of time for relaxing rather than having to rush from attraction to attraction.

yeah ...Golly there are so many of us going at that time perhaps we should all meet for a coffee.

Steve I don't think 5 days is too long it gives you time to fit everything in.

Unfortunately even though we are booked in the 5th-9th our flight from Belfast does not fly out till evening so we will not arrive until 11pm so we will miss out on that day.

The up side is that the flight on the 9th again doesn't leave until late at night so we will get 4 full days ....yipeee

I would like to try and fit in a day to Paris as we didn't do that last time but I don't know if this will be possible.
