with excitement, that is!!!! My one-year wedding anniversary is 11/20 (this Sunday). My DH and I were planning on spending a night or two in Philly at a nice hotel. This morning I was attempting to book a ressie at the Marriott in Philly- to my surprise DH had a different plan all along! One thing led to the next, and well, :cool1: WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD :cool1: ! Everything is booked- flights with Southwest, Magical Express, three day MYW passes with park hopping, and 3 nights at POFQ with dining option.

I'm going crazy because I'm a planning freak- and I only have four days to plan! I really don't know that much about POFQ. Any tips, hints, things to see, must do's, or just fun tidbits of info would be appreciated! Thanks!

From everything I've read, POFQ is very nice. I like all the pics I've seen.

Sounds like you're going to have a wonderful anniversary trip. Have fun!

Congrats - and you'll love FQ.

We stayed there twice. It is the smallest of the resorts, so everything is very convenient. I was hesitant to try this resort, but it out did my expectations.

Stayed in Building 2 and 3. Very short walk to the food court and the bus stop.

The pool and hot tub are right there.

Like the food court, they cooked to order.

FQ only has one bus stop, two platforms - signs are over head. The busses usually pick up at FQ first, then over to the 5 stops at Riverside. So you are pretty much guaranteed to get a bus. (unlike East Depot at Riverside, if the bus is too full, it passes right buy).

Also FQ is usually the first stop on the way back from the parks, this is the best.

They have a nice lounge - Joe the Bartender - reallly that's his name, has wings, nachos, etc. type food.

Sister resort, Riverside, you can walk over or take a boat, it's nice over there too.

Also can take a boat to DTD.

Congrats again and have fun.

Lucky you. Like you, I'm the planner. My husband plans NOTHING! So when this happened to me here's what I did, dispite my nature to the contrary, I let him do it all. He was so proud! And he did a great job. And I really relaxed. He enforced the trip to the park with no maps rule. And I LOVE the map! LOL It was great. We just wandered around, rode some things, and wandered some more. It was wonderful. You're going to have a great trip! :goodvibes

What a great surprize! Just remember to plan some dining reservations. Enjoy.

If my DH did that for me the only thing I would be planning is what great lingerie I was going to pack to thank him for being so great! Have a wonderful time!

Lucky you!!! If my DH did that, well I can't tell you what I would do, but you can imagine!!! ;) (He'd never have to get me another B'day, anniverary or christmas present again...EVER!)

You can get the plans made, just stay calm and enjoy NOT having to wait three months before you get to go!!!

Hehe, thanks guys! I'm really getting excited now. :cloud9: I think everything has been covered. Just made all of our ressie's-
San Angel Inn- Dinner
Boatwrights- Breakfast
Mama Melrose- Dinner
Donald's Breakfastasaurus
Tony's- Dinner
These are some of the places we didn't hit in August when we were there.
And for your information- DH is definitely getting something out of this!!! :rotfl2:
