I'm glad I booked my airfare with SW on Thursday, price increased $27

I've been holding off buying my airfare for my trip 12/8 to 12/14 because I just started a new job and wanted to be sure I could have the vacation time. Once I confirmed I could take the time I went and booked my flights.
I've been watching the price and the flights I wanted were $115 each way, (higher than I am use to, but I had a $100 SW gift card so I was okay with the price overall). The earlier flight went up $30 so I knew the others would probably follow suit. I booked at the $115 each way and checked last night and the return flight I chose was up to $142.
Hopefully there will be a ding closer to my dates so I can get a credit towards a trip next May.

Of course today my flight going to MCO went down by $26, so now I have a $26 for next year.
