I'M getting a puppy!!!!

Hi all
Just had to share. My FI Michael has given in and is buying us a puppy for Xmas. I have been buggin him for ages for one. We go to pick up our new little furry family member on Jan. 2, 2004 near Napanee Ont. from a breeder.
He is a black lab and will only be 6 weeks old. We are playing with a few different names.
I would love to call him "Disney" but Michael thinks that is way too overboard even for a WDW fan like me.
I like "Beetlejuice" because it is unique... he thinks it is too cryptic but I think it's comical and it's one of my fav movies.
But I also like "Macintosh" after my fav apple type.
It would have been so much easier getting a Chocolate lab but no one has a male one. I would have called him "Cadbury" or "Muddy".
I am so excited... I feel like we are going to disney but we're not!

Have a good time thinking of names for him. How about Phil, after Mickey's Philharmagic.

Congrats. We got our Black Lab baby 2 years ago in November. He is the light of our lives (next to our DS of course). We called him Bear cause he had the biggest paws when he was a baby. Make sure you have lots of chew toys, Kongs and Nyla bones are the best IMHO. Have fun and good luck!

We got our black lab exactly ten years ago today. She is an absolute delight. I'm sure you'll love having a lab...they're wonderful dogs. Be sure to let us know what you name him. Enjoy.

What exciting news, Suzanne! Has Ryleigh seen the puppy yet or are you planning a big surprise.

I think a Lab is the perfect dog! My sister used to have a golden Lab ~ "Tara" was a beautiful dog and so patient with her rambunctious boys. Now she has a Blue Merle Collie, another beautiful dog and his name is "Owen".

When I was a kid we had an Old English Sheepdog named "Toby" ~ that name would also suit a Lab, I think.
