I'm feeling CONFLICTED!! Help!

Ok our trip is paid, the countdown has commenced (83 days) and all ADR's have been made...
We arrive on the 29th of Sept. We are going to MNSSHP on that evening. Then on the 30th we planned on going to AK and finish the day at DD to shop and relax. Then on the 1st going to MK and spending our entire day there. We have ADRS for Breakfastsaurus with Donald on Sat. and Crystal Palace on Sun.
Today I went out and bought the Unofficial Guide to WDW and was reading up on the chart about the best days to go to which parks and it is completely REVERSED from how we had planned ours! And here I was thinking I was doing such a good job planning!
According to the guide it is best to avoid MK on the 1st and avoid AK on the 30th! ARGH! Then I realized that the Happiest Celebration ends on the 30th and then on the 1st that Million Dreams Thingy is starting. So does that mean there will be media all over on the 1st in the park? Am I just slowly loosing my mind getting swept up in all the preplanning????
And now that it is 80 some days away will I be able to switch my ADRs and still get reasonable times like we have now?
What to do? I'm feeling very conflicted! Do I just let the itinerary be or change them ? ARGH!
We are travelling with a 4,2, and infant so I want to avoid crowds as much as possible (while I still know that that in itself is not ENTIRELY possible) I still want to try!
I wish September would just HURRY UP and come already so I can get on this vacation and watch my kids eyes light up!!! Is that asking too much? Who can hit fast forward for me??? Anyone?
Any suggestions?

Though I haven't been during a media event, my mother has twice, and both times she said it wasn't really all that bad. Actually, if it were me I'd make a MAJOR point to hit the MK on that day, or at least not write it off until the last minute, because you never know what pixie dust will come your way. after all, that's what this celebration is all about! You could always just stay until your ADR, walk to the CR, and hop a bus to another park after if it ends up being too busy, and still say you were there for the opening of the new celebration.

Check the web site for the UG, they change the best days as the year goes along and it may be different at this point from what the book says.

I'm going in Sept. as well. If I were you, I would not change your plans because it isn't a peak time of year. I think you should be okay.

You could call the ADR line and just see if you can switch. My situation was very similar before I subscribed to Tour Guide Mike, and I called not expecting to be able to switch, and I got everything almost the exact time I wanted. So it never hurts to ask. Just don't cancel any until you know all the ones you need are available.

I made our MK days for Thursdays which are EMH days so a big no no.
One Thursday is DD's birthday so that couldn't be helped but... we arrive on a Wed next day is MK day. According to the guide , we should go either on a Sat (don't think so) or Tuesday. My family could never wait almost a whole week from arrival to do the MK.

Just go with it. My friends just came back a couple weeks ago. Their MK day was Sunday and she didn't think it was that crowded and that was June.

We thought of changing our plans to avoid MK on Oct.1st too. We decided to keep them as is. It will be awesome being in MK for the start of a Million Dreams!

I find that when I get to the World my plans don't always get followed. I just go with the flow and always have a blast. You will too.

Although, I would personaly want to be in MK for the start of YOMD. You never know when they are going to pick that fortunate person who gets to be in the park by themselves and stay in the castle. I wish i could go during that time!

DH and I decided to just let it be and enjoy ourselves! Besides, you're right, we might get picked for something and that would just be the double frosting on the cupcake!!!
Just really can't wait to get there, I haven't been there since the 80s, this is my DH and DS' first time going at all!!
