I'm Engaged!!

Hello All! I have been wandering around the disboards for quite sometime now and I love all of the wedding stories i've seen. So I have always been a dreamer because I just assumed that it would be a while for my big day to come, but finally it's here and I'M ENGAGED! After 2 1/2 years it's finally happened. I am definetly planning a DFTW and I just got the call today from one of the planners. Any advice would be great! I'm currently a full-time student who will be graduating in the SPRING and my DF is a full-time marine who doesn't really have time for much else. Hope to be talking to you all very soon and can't wait for any advice you all may have along the way!!

Thanks to all for the congrats! Sorry for taking soo long to get back up here. I have been soo crazy with finals I can't wait for this whole school thing to be over. So anyways heres my story! Me and my DF have been together for about 2 1/2 years. He is in the Marine Corps so we don't really get that much time together but I am soo thankful because he is only based 2 hours away. Well anyways so last month he took me out for my birthday to my fave restaurant. The whole day was perfect and actually soo was the whole weekend. It started out at the Marine Corps Ball which was amazing and then he proposed the following day and then we had couples massages before he went back to base. Heres a pic from the ball!

So anyways he took me out to dinner and then took me down to the harbor so I could open my gifts. The spot where he took me was the same place that we had our third date. It was really sweet and really romantic. so then he pulled out three boxes. The first box had a card on it that said PAST. The card said something like these are our heart felt memories from the past 2 1/2 years. In the box were 23 red hearts (I turned 23) that he had written memories on. Like the scene during the movie of our first kiss and our first dance and of couse our first trip to DISNEY WORLD together. The next box had a card with the word PRESENT on it and it was my actual birthday present. It was two books and some candies which I love. So at that point I kinda had an idea that maybe something was going to happen so I peeked in the third box but I saw nothing. So I just assumed nothing was gonna happen. So the last card said FUTURE and it said in this box their are blank hearts that we can create our future memories on. (or something like that) At that point I was gonna get to thank him for being the best boyfriend alive but when I looked up he was down on one knee. I then proceeded to freak out! He asked me to marry him I screamed yes and that brings us to right now. Well actually about two weeks ago but I will continue tomorrow. I gotta get sleep for my finals in the AM. chow for now!

Hello everyone! I'm finally done with finals. Thank god! I thought that I was never going to get through them. And also I made a bunch of decisions and need advice. So unfortunately I'm not going to be able to have my official wedding at Disney. My DF was saying that he has been at his duty station for two years so he might get orders over the summer so he wants to get married before then. So I thought I could make it work but that is just way too much moolah to come up with in 6 months. I was kinda disappointed but I'm getting over it. I told him that our VR will toally be there. Well anyways I have an official date! We're getting married on June 25th 2009 at Shades of Green. Our reception is going to be outside at the Gazebo and our reception will be inside in the ballroom. The greatest thing was the main reason why I wanted to have my wedding @ Disney was for the MK photo shoot. So anyways I called Disney photo and they are totally gonna let me do it!! Sooo excited (I guess they still may have a lil pixie dust up their sleeves)! And I can have Disney do my bouquets too! Just wanted to post an update. BTW... if anyone has pics of their bouquets if you could pm them to me or post them here that would be amazing. I have my phone planning meeting plan coming up and I just wanted to have some ideas.
