I'm Done!!!

Yippee!!!!! I'm finally done with my thesis. There is nothing else that I have hanging over my head between now and my first trip to the world on May 6th...other than cleaning the house.

Sorry, I just had to put this out there. I'm so HAPPYYYYYY!

Way to go! I too just finished MY thesis yesterday, although, I still have to defend it. (I have three weeks to prepare for that). But, I think most of the hard work is done, and I only have the nerve wracking part left. Then, when I'm done, I can announce "I'm going to Disney World!".

I'll be happy for you that you are done. It's hard to concentrate on a thesis when the DIS boards are available.

OH MY GOSH , you just described my past 3 months. We decided on February 20th to go to WDW. Ever since then, my thesis and the DIS have battled each other...the DIS usually won. God luck! I'm sure you'll do well!

Congrats! When my DD did hers last year - I told her just to view it as an academic exercise or she would drive herself crazy. It helped that I have been through the process. I also told her that she would think it was a rip that anyone could get a Master's without writing one ( many programs are moving away from that - mainly to dumb down the programs, because so few people can write proficiently & the schools want the $$$$ - so sad) and she has already told me that is exactly how she feels. Pat yourself on the back and buy yourself something extra nice at WDW!

Thank you to everyone for your kind words. I cerimoniously shredded all of the research documents today (everything is on a jump drive). It felt so good. I can see my desk again and the floor around it. If I stayed in school any longer, I'd have to find one that provides pension plans for the students. I am a whoopin' 25 ya know.

Good for you, now you can relax and enjoy your trip. I am starting college (a little late, but that's ok) taking a few classes this Summer, then really getting into it in the Fall. I was excited about it, I still am, just not used to having to do work, papers, study, that sort of stuff. The only thing like that I do now is write (I mean assist with) the occasional paper, or report for one of my kids.It will be worth it in the end though. Congrats!!

I finished my defense last week, and my edits today. No more, ever again! I'm so relieved. The day after my defense I was so stress free and relaxed. I've been like that ever sense. What a wonderful feeling.

Only my husband asked "what are you going to do next?" so I could proudly state "I'm going to disney World!"
