Yeah, I can completely understand what you mean in regards to Star Wars weekend. It's a disney event, so you want to go and be able to say you experienced it, but the films aren't your one true passion.
I think I would have been like you. Gone, seen the sights, checked out one of the stores, and gone about my day.
Speaking of, the Darth Mall just looks odd. Very out of place in Disney. Reminds me of those side of the road fireworks tents that are out around the 4th of July or a big flea market.


You can never ride TSMM too much. That's a fact. (Although, your arm does start hurting after awhile.)


I know where you're at! Mainly, because I have been there before, but still! Looking forward to seeing how it went!

I LOVE the Disney trains, in both parks! Though admittedly, Disneyland's has way more going on it seems. But it's such a lovely way to take a break from the craziness of running around and just to me, has so much of Walt in it.

I AM SO EXCITED THAT YOU ARE STAYING AT AN EPCOT RESORT!!! THIS IS AMAZING NEWS!

I'm a huge Star Wars fan, so I'm determined at some point to go during SWW! It just seems like it'd be fun... though I'm sure insanely busy, of course.

Our friends picked us up Star Wars name tags and a 9" Jabba the Hutt Vinylmation, hahaha. I've heard that the merch was hard to get though! Your pin choice was perfect though. R2D2 is my favorite.

Props to you for standing up to that woman! I always wish that I could say something in defense of an employee in a situation like that, but I usually make some sort of non-committal noise and walk away. It drives me crazy when people take out their frustration on people who don't deserve it!

So my fiance and I just booked our Disneymoon at POR last night and I finally got around to looking at your pictures and OHMAGOSH I'M SO EXCITED! We've been waffling between POR and Coronado for months and we just couldn't make up our minds, but seeing your picture made me convinced that we made the right choice. We're not getting a Royal room... my fiance seems to think that it's a little too princess-infused... RUDE! Lol!

I hate it when people go after CM's for things that are beyond their control!

I was there at the same time and stay far FAR AWAY from SWW! It just isn't my thing at all!! TSM on the other hand I love!! So sad that I have to choose between TSM and RnRC for FP+ now though! I don't know what I will do!!

Star Wars Weekends is definitely a fun even to attend, but considering I too am not that huge of a fan, there were times I just wanted DISNEY! Your description was right in that Darth's Mall does seem like a convention! It didn't seem like a typical Disney shop at all. We waited on the long line and only bought a t-shirt for our friends' son, haha. We're clearly not big spenders either!

So excited for you and your upcoming trip! I didn't know there were specific rules about not mentioning travel agency stuff on DIS.

You got way more into Star Wars Weekend than I did during my trip in 06/11. Lol I hardly even noticed anything until it was time for the parade!

I am sorry about the trouble that you experience with dropping rides and so I will solemnly swear to ride ToT double every time I go, so that I can ride it enough for the both of us.

Also, that's so exciting about AoA and the Boardwalk! I can't wait for that TR! I don't know when my next trip is, so I want my TR to keep lasting. Sorry Dis-folks.

So glad you got to meet Ralph and Vanelope! They're adorable aren't they? We loved meeting them.

The animation class is on our list for next trip-I think Maddie is old enough now and I can't wait!

Glad you found your pin! You should definitely get a pin to commemorate-you fought the crowds, you earned the pin.

Awww that first Ralph pic is seriously so cute (and oddly familiar like I've seen it somewhere before, ). I adore when Venelope sits on the floor. Like characters don't do that, but she does! So adorable. It creates a completely different vibe.

On my first visit ever to WDW I fell in love with the GMR. I thought it was so perfect, so it will always be nostalgic to me.

I love the film in France, cheesy music and all. It really makes me want to go book a ticket on a flight and get right on a plane. Glad you made it to Epcot. Lovely pics!

OMG SWW looks like so much fun! I really wanted to try to go this year, but it doesn't look like that's happening. Someday I'll get to go. I'm a huge SW fan, so mixing that with Disney is just so awesome! I'd need to bring SO much money to Darth's Mall, haha!

Aww, Ralph and Vanellope look so sweet! Your pics with them are so cute! I really want to meet them, but I feel like they're not going to be around on my next visit. They always replace those characters that are in the Animation building...like, I never thought they'd get rid of Lotso, but they did.

Your drawing of Duck Maul is amazing!!! See, this is why I need to go for SWW, if I got to draw Duck Maul, I'd probably die of happiness!

Wow I can't believe you waited so long to go to the World Showcase! The France movie is kind of cheezy, but I love the music and the scenery is beautiful! I can't believe I used to listen to my Four Parks One World CD over and over and now I can't bring myself to listen to Disney music, it's so weird...it's just hard trying to listen to it, not knowing when you will be back.

Love your Wreck-It Ralph meet and greet pictures! Those two are such fun characters to interact with. I really hope Disney keeps them around for awhile, because they deserve a lot more attention than they get. I didn't go see the film in theaters, because I had no interest in gaming. Then I saw it and loved it and now we own it. Plus, it's kind of nice having some characters that aren't princesses or the Fab 5. (Not that there's anything wrong with the princesses, but variety is nice.)


Maybe the Darth Mall had already sold out of the SWW pins? I don't know, that's weird. But hey, at least you found one before you left.

I LOVE Wreck-it Ralph!!!! Such a great, feel-good movie!! Their meet-n-greet area is adorable!!

The drawing class is so cool. I had to draw Perry once and was not happy about it. That Donald is so neat! You did a great job, I am sure it was a bonus getting an animator you liked. I am not a Star Wars fan, but that's pretty darn cool!!!

I really need to watch the France movie. I believe I have seen all the others....except Norway... But that's a whole different story, haha. Wondering where you are headed to in Epcot???? Great update! Can't wait for another!
