"I'm Doing That Again... and AGAIN!" - A May/June 2013 TR

I think I'm opposite of you with Epcot. MK is definitely my favorite but AK is second with Epcot and DHS taking up the rear. Of couse I could never imagine a trip without a visit to all four parks!

I don't get why they close down some of the rides in Future World at 7 pm? I guess they don't get enough business as evidenced by the deserted Seas building.

Awesome you got front row on Soarin! I think it is easier to get row 1 when you are a single rider. On my last solo trip I road three times and got row 1 every ride.

OK, you made me feel old with the Little Mermaid anniversary! I was in high school when it came out. Unfortuately I was going through the teenage "Disney is no longer cool" phase and I didn't see it in the theater. I saw Beauty and the Beast freshman year in college and that brought me back into the Disney fold!

I mostly just doubt I'll see it again. Because aren't they closing it for Avatarland? And I don't know when that will be exactly so I just think it will be closed before I make it back. It IS very sad.

You are partially correct - the current location will be closed, but they are building a new theater (rumors are air conditioned too) in Africa, I believe near Tusker House. They recently held auditions for all of the primary cast parts and offered them a multi year contract so the show isn't permanently leaving.

Haha Nemo is a cute ride, but you're totally right, what a brat! And that queue takes forever to walk through. I'm just glad I have never been there at a time of year where that whole thing is full!!

That is a pretty interesting vantage point for IllumiNations. And it's always a plus when you can enjoy the show and still beat the crush of people heading for the exit when it's over. :thumbsup2

Front row is the best.

Great update and pics.

Sounds like a nice night at epcot :)

Love me some tie-dyed cheesecake!!! And yeah, I saw they changed the size. I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing, especially since we used to ask three share one cheesecake LoL still sad though!!!

What a fun evening in Epcot! The lighted walkways fascinate me too, so I enjoyed your Vine of them! Spaceship Earth looks so pretty at sunset! Love it! Glad you beat the crowds! Yay for resort switch coming up!!!

Totally agree about Epcot, it's my FAVORITE!!! Just walking in, hearing Legacy (which is my favorite Disney parks music...the only bad thing about going during Christmas...no Legacy!) is pure happiness!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Ahh the Fountain of Nations! I could probably just hang out there all night and be completely content! Epcot is such a great park to do nothing in, just find a spot, listen to the wonderful music and people watch! :upsidedow

I'm so mad they changed the tye dyed cheesecake. It looks disgusting now, it used to be so pretty when it was real cheesecake! :rotfl:

Great update!
I do agree with the Nemo queue...it takes forever to walk thru..and I've never wait more than 15min for that ride. .does it ever get really busy that they need to keep the queue sooo long?? Maybe they can reconfigure and make a shorter queue! Lol

That's too bad about the tye dye cheesecake...I never tried it, but I know how disappointing it is when they change a food you love and that you look forward to getting :(

Yeah, for no feet!!!!

Somehow I have gotten really far behind on your TR, but I'm determined to get caught up. Of course, I have to read the newest update first and the man's comment about "someone farted" is absolutely hysterical.

What a fun evening at Epcot. I have watched Illuminations from the exact same spot and its pretty cool. And, you're right, you beat the crowds out of the park.

yay for a split stay. :thumbsup2

Hi! It's @rachelrapunzel from twitter and i have FINALLY caught up!!!!!! Im sorry it's taken so long! I just wanted to let you know that im really enjoying this trip report and i cant wait to read more! You're hilarious, i love that you wake up on the 7's that's just amazing! This is such an entertaining report! :goodvibes

So I think I missed the update about the toe sniffing mouse. Are you kidding me? There really is a mouse at the Poly? Hikes. I would have screamed like a baby, too! :rotfl:

I'm not much of a fan of bugs either. Definitely not your day when it comes to critter sightings.

I love all the resort hopping you did. How fun.

I think I'm caught up now. I hope. :)

I'm still here following along. I know that life can get in the way sometimes so no worries, whenever you have time to post is fine by me!

Love those Futureworld photos - it is so gorgeous there after dark, especially the sparkly lights in the pavement! :) And tie dye cheesecake sounds like just about the perfect way to end any day. YUM. :goodvibes

It's been my experience that they do not change the sheets often while the same guests stay in the room.
