I'm curious about the cancellation stats

I’m on the Dream now and according to staff it about 50 percent full. The ship feels empty. Small lines at the buffett but that was only because crew are serving everything, even things like ketchup. We plan on enjoying ourselves for three days on an almost empty ship

We have a May 25 cruise. Right now still holding tight. I don’t want to jump the gun if the virus is seasonal and this is a non-issue by then. Maybe that is too optimistic, but at least waiting will hopefully give me some clarity on when to reschedule the cruise.. if it is still bad in May 2020 I don’t want to move it to May 2021 and go through this all again next year.

May 30 cruise here. Agree with PP on giving it a little more time before making any decisions.

I think the Fauci guy. I’m not sure if that’s correct spelling said probably 8 weeks for the emergency portion of this. The virus should slow down in the Summer. Viruses aren’t as resilient in heat and humidity. I would not jump the gun and cancel something that far out. I’m not cruising until August. I’m not worried about it. If for some reason the Magic decides not to go to Europe I’ll find some other cruise to do. I wouldn’t want to wait a year either. Do you have some flexibility to push it back a couple of months if you need to?

Yes, we will sadly most likely lose our airfare as it was booked with expiring travel funds from a trip we had to change last year, but everything else is booked via disney so can be rescheduled without penalty.

Isn't Southwest letting people change for free like the other airlines?

Southwest always lets you change flights free of charge, but if you change, you get 12 months from the time you originally paid for the ticket. Since I had originally paid these funds on June 6, 2019 for a cruise we were then planning for October 2019 but not able to take due to a work conflict, and then used those rolled over funds for the flights in May this year, that means I can't use these travel funds after June 6, 2020. And my thinking is that if the virus is still bad on May 25, it is going to still be bad the first week of June too. :sad1:

It's not even bad here now. How bad it's going to be in the future is impossible to predict, but I think cruise ships will be sailing again by then.

I read somewhere there is going to be a travel ban for anyone above 70 years young? Can anyone confirm if this applies to Disney as well?
You have to have Drs note saying ok to travel but CDC shut down cruises for next 100 day to all.
