I'm convinced! Fundraisers are like childbirth!

Fundraisers must be like childbirth. Because the only way I could be stupid enough to volunteer to be in charge again is I forgot how awful it was last year!!! We're getting down to the wire now. Why is it half the people don't just pay the money they owe or make sure they get it to me instead of me having to call again and again to be able to pick up a check? And why is it the girls, who the fundraiser will benefit, do 10% of the work and the leaders do 90%???

I swear if you guys even hear me make a peep about volunteering to be in charge next year someone please SLAP ME!!!!!

I am president of my temple's mens service auxillary. We just finished a very successful chicken soup cookoff in March and now I am supervising a congregation wide dinner for the Temple's Congregants of the Year. This year's dinner appears to be going smoothly but I have a dozen or so items on my to-do list.
