I seem to have seen conflicting info on this. Which night on the Western Magic is formal night? Semi-formal? Tropical? What do most wear to Lumiere's? Your help is appreciated!

if i remeber what i read on barb's website formal night on the western is the day after key west. the rest i can't remember

From a clothing standpoint (or any other for that matter) there is no difference between formal and semi-formal night. Most people dress up for both. A few people don't dress up for either.

If it is not one of the "theme nights," most people treat Lumiere's just like any other restaurant--summer dress or skirt for ladies, dockers and polo shirt or sports jacket for men. Since there are the 2 dressy nights, no one really makes a big deal out of Lumiere's on other nights. THe "dressy restaurant" thing is a bigger deal on cruises that don't have a formal night (can you think of a sister ship?)

Saturday, Embarkation Day - Casual

Sunday, Key West - Casual

Monday, At Sea - Formal

Tuesday, Grand Cayman - Casual

Wednesday, Cozumel - Mexicalifragilistic / Pirates of the Caribbean

Thursday, At Sea - Semi-formal

Friday, Castaway Cay - Casual

I amy have formal and semi formal nights reversed, but this is to the best of my knowledge. Nights on the Eastern are different.

Have a great cruise!

DD says the easiest way to remember is that the FIRST Sea Day is formal and the LAST sea day is Captain's Gala - semiformal.

DD and I wore formal (jersey) pants and a glittery top for both. That particular top stays in a plastic bag or I have glitter all over everything.....but it was fun to wear.
