I am a DVC owner who needs to purchase an AP and the DDP. I thought that I would get the APs on-site. I planned on adding DDP in a couple of weeks. Am I going to have any problems with any of this?

Also, I have 1 person that is only staying half of the time. If I call the DVC number to schedule 2 different ME pick-up dates, is that going to mess up my DDP? I planned on just purchasing DDP for all 4 people for all 10 days, even though 1 person is leaving early. Is this ok?

You will have to purchase the DDP for all 4 people for all the nights of your reservation, whether they are there the entire time or not. You can use the extra credits for shows or other 2 credit venues.

There is no problem arranging different ME pick-ups.

The DVC version of DDP doe snot require the purchase of a park ticket through Disney, so you can purchase your APs when you arrive, and other people in your party can use other ticket media, if they choose. You will pay for the DDP when you check into your resort.

Thank you! That's pretty much what I thought, but I wasn't positive. I didn't realize that we wouldn't pay for DDP until we check in though. Guess it's good to know which credit card bill that will be on. Thanks!

Unlike regular Disney hotel reservations, that require a cash deposit and payments before arrival, DVC rooms are paid for with points, so the ability to take payments was not built into DVC reservation software. They can't take payments in advance for DDP.

It's very easy to buy that DVC AP on site. Just go to any Guest Relations at the Parks, TTC or DTD. Show your blue member card, show your Driver's license or other official photo ID, hand over the cash(or credit) and you have it, activated that moment. If for some reason you don't want to activate it that first day, just wait until the next day to purchase it.

That's the part I don't like! ;)
