On the Disney Club website it says "Disney Club members that book the silver plan add-on to the dream maker package receive $75 off their entire package"

I know that discounts can't be applied to suites so I know I can't get the 10% off of the room but this sounds like it is something different-just a certain set amount off depending on what package you book.

Has anyone received this discount?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

This is the way that it worked last year so there is no guarantee that it will work the same way this year. When you call the Disney Club, ask them the current rules. Anyhow, here goes...

I had a Grand Plan booked last year. It was for the GF. When the WDTC FAXed me my reservation, there was a line item on it. If I remember correctly, I was going to get $125 Disney Dollars upon check-in. I think that was what it was going to be (but I'm not 100% certain -- my memory is fuzzy). There were no discounts, just that $125 thing. Note: I did not have a suite booked, only a resort room.

Again, when you call the Disney Club, ask them what discounts apply. They'll be able to answer you on the spot.

I was told I can't use it because I booked a suite because it is only available in addition to the room discount part of the package through DC. I can't use the initial discount so I can't use the additional $75 one either.

I was also told by WDTC and CRO that they are merging their computer systems and everything by the end of the year. Hadn't they already done this?

Vbfamily, I just went to the Disney Club website. It states the following:

- - - - - - -
Disney's Dream MakerTM Package
with Silver Plan Add-On

Silver Plan Add-On Pricing per night is: $68 per Adult, $68 per Junior, $54 per Child.

Disney Club members save $75 on the entire package including the Add-On plus room discount when available.
- - - - - - -

I take that to mean that you would get the $75 savings for certain, but the room discount is optional. Since suites are not discounted, you would not get a room discount, but you should get the $75 package savings for being a Disney Club member. That is my take on it, though, and I am not an employee of the Disney Club so I cannot speak for them. However, Dreams Unlimited Travel works very closely with the Walt Disney Company. They should be able to get the real answer for you. My fingers are crossed that you will at least be able to save $75 on your package. Good luck!

I feel kind of silly making a big deal over $75. It seems like a drop in the bucket. I thought that the statement you quoted meant what you thought it meant too.

I'm kind of worried because Disney said they didn't have any 1br suites left to book when I was getting prices-I just added the package to an existing reservation for the suite. Does this mean that DU will tell me there is no availability?

Janet2k,

I asked this question in another thread and was wondering if you know.

Do you have to go to the Grand Floridian or Saratoga Springs to get the massage that comes with the plans or can you get it at the resort you are staying at?

If anyone has experience with this I would appreciate the information.

Thanks
