I'm Cancelling some ADRS for September

I will be cancelling the following ADRs soon ... I'm not sure how anyone can use these (reservation is under my name but maybe you can just use the confirmation number) but I'd like to see if another DIS member can take these instead of me just cancelling out to the general public. This is what I'm going to be cancelling ...

9/22/07 - Dinner @ Spoodles (5:00 p.m. - 2 people)
9/22/07 - Dinner @ LeCellier (7:20 p.m. - 2 people)
9/24/07 - Lunch @ LeCellier (1:00 p.m. - 2 people)
9/24/07 - Dinner @ Spoodles (8:10 p.m. - 2 people)

The CM I spoke with last week said you CAN call and simply change the name on the reservation! Of course, right at this moment I can't find my notes

Now, naturally, as soon as I saved the above message I found what I need. Call, get through to the Dining line (press 3, then enter your phone #, then press 1, then press 1 again, then listen through the 'please take the survey' spiel). Tell the CM who answers that you want to "change the name on your reservation number --------". Right. I know. Not much different from what I posted first. But this is the exact wording the CM gave me, so...

Are you planning to make a different ADR for a different restaurant for roughly the same day/time?

If you do go the route of keeping the ADR and allowing another DISer to use it on your behalf, you might want to be aware of the fact that Disney will sometimes cancel out an ADR if they see two different ADR's for the same day/approx time reserved under one person. This happened to my friend in May. Being that you're going during free dining, I suspect WDW will be doing all they can to make sure folks aren't double booking ADR's. I realize that you're not intending to double book and think it's WONDERFUL that you thought of us fellow DISer's - just wanted to give you a heads up about that double booking thing. Good luck!!! I hope someone here can snag them!!

This is a good point. I transferred a reservation earlier and I recommend if you do it to transfer it to someone else's name and the phone # they have for their reservations. The reservation # stays the same, but it is no longer associated with your hotel reservation.

9/13: Boma dinner for 4, 5:30 PM

9/14: Kona dinner for 4, 7:10 PM

9/15: Le Cellier lunch for 4, 1:00 PM

PM me if anyone wants any of these, otherwise I will be cancelling at about 7:30 AM tomorrow morning!
