Well after 4 years it looks like my job finally is letting the Dis through the firewall. Looks like I may never work again. LOL SOOOO GOOD TO BE BACK MORE REGULARLY!!!!
nooneshome said:Hehe. Thank goodness I can get the DIS at work. It is my way of sticking it to our manchild governor Bobby Jihad for not giving us raises the last three years.
Once again "some" DISers have no sense of humor. I get to work early every day and bust my butt and every now and then as a break I browse the DIS. Geez lighten up people. I could spend a day telling you how our governor has stuck it to LA state workers. oh and by the way I am a conservative but what he is doing is just plain cruel.

Inappropriate post IMO.
You follow what has been going on in Louisiana all the up there in NY? How would like it if one day your boss told you that you can't retire when you had planned to and now you have to work an extra six or seven years and oh by the way you still will be paying into the retirement system and your payments will get you no extra benefits. On top of that I'm going to reduce your staff by 30% and we expect you to do more with less.
I would consider my alternatives. If I could do better in the private sector, then I would explore that. If I had no skills other than being a government employee...I'd accept that and be happy that I had a job.
