Hi all,
In true DISboards fasion here are my highs and lows from my trip. I got back last night.

Highs

The DLH.... Wow pure amazing. I loved everything about this hotel from the room to breakfast. We were even offered a better room when we checked in over looking the park.

Riding BTM so many times i felt dizzy.

Buzz lightyear he was so funny, I had such a laugh with him that i could hear him laghing inside :rotfl2:

Meeting Chewy (not managed to do this before, altho the queue here is a low point)

Annettes Diner, lovely as usual.

Meeting characters that we have not managed to do before

Weather was good, chilly in the mornings but warmed up and was sunny most of the time (except Tuesday evening as we had a few showers but it was so fun riding btm in the rain :rotfl2:)

Lows
Halloween.... Actually was it halloween there???? :confused3 I have been to dlp many times and as you may know about me i am a huge fan of dlp and this is the first time I have ever been dissapointed, especially as I know what they used to do for halloween. I will be writting a very strong letter to them. I wish we had waited a few weeks and went for chrismas again as it was beautifully decorated last year.

Lack of halloween merchandise there was more Christmas stuff

Missing my dh and kids.

Rainforest cafe the food was very dissapointing.

Overall I still really enjoyed my trip and would deffinetly carry on going to dlp but i will be avoiding halloween.

I have much, much more to tell you so i will start my full TR soon.

Another High...
I came home to find dh had done all the washing, cleaning and even made fresh bread... it's great being married to a chef :lmao:

Lucky you - we came back to even more devastation than we left - the lazy sod hadn't even put the dishwasher on so the same dishes were in it that had been there when I left on Wed (wasn't enough for a load to go on otherwise I would have put it on before I went)

Glad you had a good time (apart from the lack of Halloween theming - it was a bit strange without it) - looking forward to your trip report.

glad you had a good time can't wait to ready your trip report hope you've got loads of photos xx

Glad you have a great time, hope there were lot of highs and very little of lows.
I have read all your previous trip reports.:flower3: Can't wait for the new one.

Glad you had a good trip, the DLH always sounds wonderful :lovestruc

Where did you meet Buzz Lightyear ?

Thanks JazzyMe i'm glad you enjoyed them :thumbsup2

Jill, I met buzz in toon studios near crush, it's an organized meet and there is a queue for this one :cool1: no scrum, the buzz we had was very funny and was very in character not like the captain Jack sparrow we saw this time who just stood there and had no manorism.

Welcome Back Karen!!!

Glad to hear you had an amazing birthday trip! No mention of cocktails in your highs...?? Is this an oversight?! :lmao:

Looking forward to your TR - and well done to your DH!!! :thumbsup2

Welcome back, look forward to your TR:thumbsup2

Welcome back, Karen :dance3: glad you had a great time although a shame about the lack of Halloween. We've only been once for Halloween but it was such fun and I just can't imagine not seeing Frontierland transformed into Halloweenland. :confused3

Sounds like a great trip, so glad to hear DLH lived up to your expectations. It seems a shame that the feedback is halloweens lacking something, we were planning a big trip for next Oct

Sounds like you've got your dh well trained :thumbsup2

I was really gutted about the lack of decorations it really felt like they thought "oh we'll stick a few pumpkins around, that will do" :confused3

The DLH really is lovely. it was great walking out of the park and not having far to walk like we usually do, as we have always stayed in the Cheyenne. I have taken lots of pictures of the hotel I will add them into my TR for you.

Welcome back Karen
Delighted that you loved the DLH. Cannot wait to hear all about it. Pity about Halloween not being played up properly. I would write too. Maybe they're making cut backs now to have a bigger budget for the 20th anniversary :sad2: not really good enough though seeing the effort thats been put in for previous years.

Fresh bread!?! lol id also be coming home to similar to emanlu! id imagine theyre would be a lot of clothes shrunk and dyed a lovely pinkish red

Hello :goodvibes

Looked out for you on Friday as I thought you never know who you might bump into

Glad you had a great time in the DLH and I totally agree re Hallowe'en :sad2:

Look forward to the trippy :thumbsup2

Thanks Kizzy,
I really Loved the DLH as expected lol :rotfl2: I took photo's from the bathroom to taking pictures of the bin that said disneyland hotel on it :lmao:. I really did enjoy the trip as usual but it really was a shame on the lack of halloween decorations.
DH really did try and luckily nothing was pink that shouldn't have been lol altho dd would have loved that, we just got a puppy and she said before we went to pick her can we get a pink puppy... bless :cutie: I did have to put things back in their right places as we have a different opinion as to what is tidy i shouldn't moan really he tried :rotfl:
I will start my TR soon but i'm stuck in bed with flu at the moment... glad it was not last week.

Aww it would have been lovely to have seen you, it's great when you bump into another DISser, I bumped into loladelorean a few time last November. I do wonder when i'm wondering around the park if anyone there use this chat forum.
Friday was not as busy as I expected it to have been, Thursday was the busiest day I thought. It was great to still find FP at 5 in the afternoon as our July trip they were all gone by 11 am.
Going to start my TR soon once I can shift this flu bug

Hope you're feeling better soon Karen  Its a nasty dose thats going around. DP escaped without being too run down.

I must say washing is his only let down!! He gets confused between washing powder and fabric softener and puts them in the wrong drawer - drives me batty, I even labelled them and he still mixs them up!! :rotfl2: But in fairness he has something along the lines of OCD when its comes to cleaning. He washes the floors up to 5 times a day :rotfl: but doesnt like the sorting out kinda cleaning like paperwork or clothes! Now if I could only get him to cook I'd be living a leisurely life :lmao:

So looking forward to seeing all the pics - the bin included
