Wow, what a great trip we had last week! Thanks again for all the help!! I took your advice and arrived very early! We were first at turnstyles all four days that we attended parks. They opened turnstyles at 8:30. I didn't purchase the express tickets, but I didn't need them! We walked on rides, with no wait times. Around 10:30 wait times were approximately 20 minutes. At 11, wait times increased dramatically. At this time we shopped(6 teen girls were with me) and ate. We left the parks every day around noon. :woohoo: We were able to ride Hulk 5 times, Mummy 4 times, Spiderman 4 times, and everything else at least once! Thanks again!

Glad you had a great trip. Really surprised to hear you didn't have to wait much, if at all since I thought last week was prime spring break week!

We're leaving on Thursday for our first US trip! Did you think you needed 4 days to adequately see both parks? Can we do it in less or should be plan for more days but not full days?

I'm trying to plan how many days to devote to US/IOA, and how many days at the Nick Hotel. DH wants to just chill at the pool, DD12 wants to go shopping (lord help me I'll never make it through her teens), DS10 probably would prefer to go to US with me, and DS6 will never want to leave Nick Hotel!!!

mrsgrumpy, thanks for coming back and sharing with us !
after we give out advice of arriving early, eat at off times, take breaks, etc, it is appreciated when someone comes back and says, yup.....advice worked.

the pattern of the parks crowds starting around 11ish has been like that for years now. i always take advantage of the early starts and i stay on site. you were right not to buy the express pass when you got there. it can always be bought after you check out the crowd level in the parks.

did you have favorite rides or attractions?
hope you took in horror make up show.
i love that one!

so glad you had a great time!!

mom23chicklets, you are correct, the crowds last week were overwhelming. I heard in excess of 35,000. But the key to our "no wait lines" was arriving very early. We left Kissimmee, every morning at 7. We were waiting for parking by 7:30. In addition, we were first in line at turnstyles. All four days, we were allowed in at 8:30. All 4 mornings we were able to literally walk on all the rides. Another key, is to have a plan and move very fast from one ride to another. We did everything in 4 mornings and left around noon. We rode the "Headliners" more than once.

Macraven, yep we did the horror makeup show and it was great! Everything was over-the-top. Favorites were Mummy and Hulk. But again I can't thank "yall" enough. Vacation was a success due to all the great information!:beach:

Welcome back!

Just got home yesterday myself. Definitely feeling the depression, but had a great time.

Getting there early was definitely the key!

We had a change this vacation in our activities. We did the Meal Deal, Mardi Gras, and my brother was in the Fear FActor Live show.

Glad to hear that you had a great time!
