I'm back with a severe case of the PDB!

Wayne like me Tom and nikki have missed 2 weeks of X-factor-I have it on in the background.Dont think they have put the best through this time though. Some right weirdos:lmao:
Great pics Tom.We also liked teppan edo and le cellier the best but captains grill a close third.:thumbsup2

Can't believe anyone would choose X factor over posting Food pics.:lmao:

It was the wife not me - honest :P

Anyway Via Napoli

Now after only booking this a week or so before we went I was looking forward to it. The building itself inside is beautiful and really airy. The food itself was a major disappointment but maybe that was our own fault. Now you go to a place with a good reputation for Pizza and neither of us got pizza :rotfl: The reasoning being the one we had at WPE was so good it seemed a waste of a Table service. Bad decision.

I went for a chicken parmesan with baked spaghetti and Nikki had the Vegitarian Lasagne:

I've never had a chicken parmesan before so not sure how it's meant to be but the chicken was tough and a weird colour to boot and the spaghetti dry and flavourless. The lasagne wasn't as bad but just far too much cheese (again no tomato sauce), some of the cheese had an unpleasant almost foamy texture.

For dessert I had the deep fried Ricotta cheese balls and Nikki had the apple cake:

Mine was nice although pretty much just tasted like small donuts, but they were tasy enough with the whipped cream and chocolate sauce. The Apple cake was a bit bland and had far more raisins than apple.

Overall I certainly can't recommend Via Napoli but I can't say don't go as the place really is nice inside but I think we just made really bad choices

I think even the Pop century food court version beats Via Napoli

Crystal Palace

We had a lunch reservation here one day for 1:50, we arrived ten minutes or so early and was greeted by a huge queue down the porch to check in. We were seated about twenty minutes late but that was fine.

To be honest we didn't really go for the food we just thought it would be a nice place to meet some characters and grab some lunch. I was quite pleasantly surprised by the food (although forgot to take pics). The carved roast ham was really lovely and I was enjoying my second plate with some really nice garlic mash untill the child on the next table threw up the contents of his stomach onto his plate. That was me done.

As someone who doesn't particularly like meat Nikki wasn't overawed by it and had mainly the vegatable accompliments.

The desset selection was good, little cheesecake and brownie sqaures along with a softserve ice cream machine (but come on normal ice cream that close to Aloha Isle just doesn't cut it)

I'd say it's a good choice for families as within the 45 minutes we were there all 4 characters (Pooh,Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore) got over to us:

Overall a pretty steady buffet, nothing superb but not bad if you don't want to leave the Magic Kingdom, kids would love it.

Honestly Wayne it wasn't nice at all, the chicken had a grey tinge to it. I probably should have complained but wasn't sure if the texture and colouring was because the chicken had been flattened on purpose. The chicken in breadcrumbs I had later in the week at WP was in a different league.

The pizza's did look lovely at VN to be fair.
