Well we're back after an amazing ten nights, I'm knackered and have the post Disney blues in abundance but it was all so worth it.

Will post some pics and reviews tomorrow hopefully after some sleep.

As far as eating goes Le Cellier and Teppan Edo were soaring highs and Via Napoli a low, overall the DDP was great for us.

Oh an MNSSHP was great, loved meeting the dwarves.

Thanks again to everyone who helped plan :grouphug:

think we will have to start a PDB club I am so depressed now I am home in the cold.

We loved le cellier and teppan edo

Glad you had a great time.

Sorry to hear you have the pdb. You will have to get planning another trip. :thumbsup2

welcome back :goodvibes

Welcome home

August was our 1st visit to Teppan Edo but liked it so much we cancelled The Wave and went back for a 2nd time. At Le Cellier we had better service this year but food not quite as good, Too much salt in mine and Matts and weird butterbeans in sauce with Karens chicken. Never considered Via Napoli, it had just opened and we don't eat pizza, will study menu for next year.

welcome back !
The only cure for PDB is to book again :-)

Teppan Edo was great due to sittin with a nice family from Boston and having a good laugh during the meal.

We must have caught Le cellier on a good night as my Fillet was perfect and our server, Barry, was brilliant as well.

As for Via Napoli we made the mistake of not ordering pizza weirdly, I got a chicken Parmesan that really wasn't nice.

Pics to come when I can find a smidgen of energy!

welcome back, glad you had a wonderful trip. I agree, the only way to shake pdb is to start planning the next trip :-)

No chance of rebooking as its now time to save to move house. Ah well I can keep on looking and you never know.

Right not going to do a full report basically because I don't know how and forgot exactly what was done when. What I will be doing is giving our views on the different aspects of the holiday along with some dining reviews with pictures. I apologize in advance for the quality of the food pics, I was most often in too much of a rush and just too hungry to alter the settings on the camera beforehand :rotfl:

Anyway to start off:

Flights (Virgin)

Both actual flights were great with the exception of the food which was awful. On the way out we used online check in the night beforehand and everything went smoothly, we got the seats we pre allocated which were in the bubble so that was great. The IFL was OK but a bit archaic compared to what was on our continental flight in March. As for the food, for me it was chicken Byriani which sounded great but was by far the worst plane food I ever had, the chicken was just disgusting. Nikki had the vegitarian option of some sort of spinach and ricotta pasta which was ok but pretty bland.

The service in PE was great and the flight itself was a bit shorter than scheduled so happy days.

On our return flight we checked in at DTD on the morning which again was great, we got row 61 J and K which again is what we wanted as its 2 together at the back of the plane. I had Beef and Mash, the other option was a chicken korma but after the last experience with the chicken opted against it. The beef was tough and the banana and custard desert was just weird. Again Nikki had some sort of vegitarian pasta which once again was a bit bland (luckily we had an Earl of Sandwich each as we had to use up our last CS credits).

The flight was short though and we got in an hour ahead of schedule, neither of us got a wink of sleep though but we can't blame the airline for that now. One complaint though is they had run out of pretty much all soft drinks and beer 3 hours into the flight which isn't great really.

Hotel (Coronado Springs)

All in all we loved the hotel, check in was great, we didn't get the room in Casitas 4 or 5 that we had requested but really liked the room in Cabanas 9 we had. The room was spacious especially for just 2 of us and was just yards from the quiet pool.

The buses on the whole from the resort were great, sometimes they would be nearly full by the time we got to our closest stop as it was the last pickup but they were relatively frequent and don't think we ever waited more than 20 mins. The worst thing about the waiting was the love bugs that seemed to like to hang around near bus stops.

The resort itself is beautiful especially the view across the lagoon at night, we took a picture but it doesn't really show it off properly:

The Pepper Market was great but I'll go into that in a later post, and we enjoyed the shop as well, that is until we decided it would be fun to buy a Vinylmation each, 9 and around $100 later we decided we may be slightly addicted and it would be best to stop there:rotfl2:

We'd both definitely recommend the hotel to anyone and would return anytime given the chance.

I wont bore you any further for now and will hopefully get onto the Dining reviews tomorrow :)

Right finally I have a bit of time to start these food reviews. Again sorry for the picture quality.

Wolfgang Puck Express

We arrived at our hotel mid afternoon on the Tuesday but were both tired and didn't want to do a park so we decided to head to DTD to go to WPE. The place was pretty busy but Nikki was able to get a table whilst I waited in line. We decided we would share a Pepperoni pizza (minus the peppers) and a big plate of Macaroni cheese and also add a side of fries.

Both meals were great, the crust on the pizza was really nice, thin but still soft and the toppings were also really tasty. The Macaroni whilst maybe not as nice as the pizza had a nice homemade taste to it. The fries tasted nice but for some reason I don't like fries with the skin on.

As for Dessert the menu just said cookie or brownie but I asked the guy at the till and he said you could also have cheesecake or creme brulee. I went for a cheesecake which was really delicious, it had a creme brulee like topping!

Nikki went for a brownie which although was pre packaged was nice and moist.

Overall this place is fantastic for a CS, so much so we ended up going back 3 or 4 times throughout the trip.

10/10 from me, hard to fault it at all but maybe that's because we were on the dining plan and it felt like such a good use of a credit as it would have come to more than $30 for the 2 of us.

I prefer WPE sweet potato fries to their regular fries. I think I had the cheesecake every visit(4 or 5 times) in August. Our bill usually totalls around $60 for 3 of us, no way would I pay that for lunch but its a great use of DDP credits:thumbsup2

We had decided to book Tony's for our first full day as we feel you have to start in the Magic Kingdom. We had booked for 2:00 but by 1:00 we were both starving so headed to the restaurant to see if they could fit us in earlier. They were really accomodating and told us we could have a table withing 10 minutes.

The restaurant itself is nicely themed inside, I liked the statue of Lady and the Tramp:

Also the dog footprints in the concrete outside is a nice little touch.

Once seated our server was over promptly to take our order, again we decided to share two entree's going for the Spaghetti with both meatballs and italian sausage and the cheese flatbread:

In honesty we weren't overly keen on either of these, the flatbread was OK but it had no sauce on, which I suppose is our own fault as it didn't say there was on the menu we just presumed. The spaghetti itself was OK but the Italian Sauage had a weird taste to it that I still can't put my finger on.

Anyway my eyes lit up when I saw 'Chef's sgnature cheesecake' on the desset menu, only to have my hopes dashed when the server told me it was Pumpkin - no thank you!!! Nikki went for the Ice cream Chocolate bomb and myself the pistachio Creme Brulee:

The chocolate bomb was decent enough but the Creme Brulee was just delicious, admittedly I have had very limited experience of Creme Brulee's before but I was converted after one spoonful. Beautifully creamy and smooth.

I would have given this place a 5 overall maybe but the dessert brings it up a point to 6/10

I wasn't disappointed though as we didn't expect much we just wanted to try a restaurant in the MK on our first day really, plus we walked out straight into Pinocchio which was cool!

Both meals were great, the crust on the pizza was really nice, thin but still soft and the toppings were also really tasty.

We ate at WPCafe in Westside and the other half had the Pepperoni pizza and said exactly the same thing about the crust, he loved it too - I didn't go so much as a sniff of a taster, he gobbled up the lot :rotfl2:

Loving your pictures so far, thanks so much for sharing :)

Thankyou so much for your reviews, am going in a couple of weeks, and your dining pics are really getting me in the spirit, especially my achilles heel cheesecake.

Looking forward to more

Ali
