We had a wonderful time and stayed very very busy!! Here's a list of everything we did....
Blue Ridge Pkwy...boy was it beautiful!! Although I was scared out of my mind driving around those curves on the mountains. We took several hikes out there as well.
Chimney Rock...I'm sure on a clear day it would be fantastic..but I wasn't very impressed. This could also have to do w/ the fact that I have a HUGE fear of heights! It was very foggy though that day. We went into the Opera box and while that was neat I hit my head several times.
Sliding Rock...Oh this looked like so much fun!! But the water was so freezing cold I wouldn't go in but the kids had a blast! While we were at Pisgah we also visited the waterfalls. I was soooo impressed. I never knew how beautiful they were.
Sandy Bottom Trails..we went on a 3 hour horse back ride. I again was scared out of my mind. The horse "Butterball" kept walking so close to the edge and I was afraid he would slip and fall w/ me on him. It was a ton of fun though and I'm sore from it now.
As much as I wanted to go to the Biltmore Estate I didn't think the kids would appreciate any of it so we passed. Although I will go back in a few years just to do that.
As soon as I figure out how to post pics again I'll put some on here!
I almost forgot we also went to Cherokee village and stopped in at the bear zoo. Now that was fun! We got to feed the bears and they would do tricks for the food!!
