Hi everyone. I got home very late last night. We had a great time. The Disneyland Hotel is so convenient & we were so lucky with the weather. It was the perfect place to celebrate my 40th! I got a birthday cake in Cafe Mickey & Mickey himself came over to clap! Unfortunately DH thought he was videoing it - but hadn't pressed the button, so it will have to live only in my memory! I'll do a trip report later in the week.

So glad you enjoyed your 40th Karen, got my trip to celebrate mine in exactly 3 weeks now. Look forward to your trippie :thumbsup2

Oh, what a shame. We had a similar thing on our first trip to WDW, we did a fun wedding vow renewal with characters and our DD managed to photograph everything else in the restaurant except us!! :lmao: :lmao:

At least you have your special memories. :goodvibes

welcome back. cant wait to hear all about it. i wanted to get a cake for my moms birthday but she said she would walk out lol. that happened me too when ash was with characters i could have kicked myself for pressing the button twice

If only. I wanted to go in March, the weekend before DD1's 7th birthday (just me & her). The flights were reasonable & I thought I could make use of the 50% discount on hotel rooms with my AP, but DH has said NO WAY. So, I don't know at the moment. DD1 is off the first week in May, but DH says he has to go to Dublin for 3 weeks in May & there's no way I could manage the 2 of them travelling on my own, so it looks like that week mightn't work out either.

How about you?

I've got an opportunity to do a lot of over-time at work because my job-share partner is on maternity leave. The extra money could go towards another trip but the sensible part of me knows that there are loads of other practical things I need to buy. The thing that sways me is that I will need two rooms as from October 2010, because Emilia will be 3. It then becomes really expensive, so I want to get a trip in before then, and I can only afford January....so that leaves me one option - January 2010, or nothing.:confused3

I would like to go on a 'one to one' basis with my eldest but DH has said NO WAY! I would like to take them in turns, but he said that would never work because middle DD wouldn't understand.
