Hey all :D
I just got back this morning from my two weeks at the Pop Century (awesome) with the Dining Plan (wayyy too much food for lil ol me). I flew with Thomsonfly Premium Economy, which is well worth the money.
I also visited every Disney theme and water park, and went to SeaWorld, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, doing almost every ride, minus a few children's ones. As we had the dining plan, we also did shows like Royal Table, Backyard BBQ and Hoop-de-Doo, and ate at lots of restaurants, such as Akershus (THE best meal I've ever had), Planet Hollywood, Hollywood and Vine and The Crystal Palace.
Sooo, if anybody wants any info on anything above, feel free to ask :D

Hope you had a fab time :thumbsup2

Did you experience any problems with the airports on your way back? :confused3

Thank you! :D
Nope, no problems whatsoever, though we flew Sanford-Cardiff, neither of which are major airports.
The only thing I really noticed was that we weren't allowed to carry a bottle of water through to airside, and Sanford Airport has no cafe or shops landside, so we had to go through to the duty free part straight away really.
Our flight was on time with very little turbulence, which was great, and the cabin crew were really good too. :D

Hi
Hope you had a great time at pop. Where staying there in december for the first time. We are on the dining plan also, were you able to order anything of the menu at planet hollywood on the plan.
Thanks Claire

Glad to hear you had a good time. :goodvibes

Sara. :)

welcome back and glad you had a good time! :cool1: i am going pop in 3 weeks, and cant wait ive never stayed in a dinsey hotel- was it good? and advice?
i will also be on the dinning plan!

Welcome home, it sounds like you had a great time, we flew home the same time as you and stayed at the Pop, it's great isn't it, whereabouts were you ?~ we were in room 5152

Glad you had a great time! I was wondering how the 2 princess meals compared- I'm not sure whether to just go for one (if so which one? :confused3 ) or both  - what did you think of them?

Yeh, I am pretty sure you can order everything (in Planet Hollywood), though there are some drinks that are not available, like the ones with glowing ice cubes, milkshakes (which counted as a dessert) and juices.

Yeh, I really loved it :D
We stayed in the top floor of the 80's building (room 9462) and it was a five minute walk from the lobby and bus station, with a fairly quiet pool, that got busier around 9pm until mignight or 1am. However we were far enough away to not hear noise.
As people have said, the walls were thin (enough to hear toilets flush occassionally once or twice) but we didn't spend much time in the room anyway, only the evenings.
Food Court picks up around 8-9am for breakfast, so try to eat early or late and the dining plan allows you to try anything you feel like eating really! It's excellent for people with large appetites (unlike myself).
The longest we had to wait for a departing bus was 15-20 minutes to Magic Kingdom, on a particularly manic day. But on our last day, we had to wait 2 hours and 10 minutes for a bus from Typhoon Lagoon to the Pop Century (which we had only visited for five minutes to buy something in the shop!) and we were supposed to be checking out at 11am - we got back at 12pm! This was the only bad thing I could say about the entire holiday really.

Welcome back ~ Glad you had a wonderful time.

I definitely preferred Akershus, because we visited CRT in the evening and the other princesses are not always there. There is a Cinderella greeting (with free photo included with meal) and then the fairy godmother and two mice visit the tables during dinner.
Akershus, on the other hand, had a greeting wiht Ariel and then Cinderella, Aurora, Jasmine and Belle at the tables (no sign of Snow White though).
I also enjoyed the food more at Akershus - a buffet for a starter, a choice of steak, pasta with chicken, salmon and a few others and then the dessert was a small tester of four - which is good for small eaters like me.
At CRT, I ate a BLT salad (very small, with about two pieces of bacon) and then pasta, which had more vegetables than pasta! Myy dessert was something chocolate-based and very nice - the best part of the meal :D
I hope this helps.
