Yes, it has been a very very long almost three weeks. ...

Settlement on the house went very smoothly.. in fact they factored some things in our favor, and wound up with the title company writing us a check (our good faith estimate was $1000 over!), and our mortgage payment is $50 less per month, due to the same accounting error!

Lets see, the moving in went great, some small problems... (note to self a 24 foot truck does not work well on a narrow one way street with cars parked on the side of the street)

The house is great, no true problems... everything was clean, and nice for us. All but four boxes are unpacked and everything is put away. The four boxes are office stuff, so unfortunately no one got Christmas cards... the address books are hiding in the bottom of one of those four boxes!

The Christmas in the new house was fantastic, with our Charlie Brown tree and all. Yes, we put a tree up two days after we moved in. Thanks again to a special DIS'er... who was very kind to us.

The kids are doing wellk, adjusting to thier new school. The first day was yesterday.. we now walk instead of taking the bus.. so that is a little adjustment on everyone! (three blocks not too bad!)

WE got to spend New Years with our dear friends Angel and Linda, and thier children. Angel is dying of cancer, and well, quite honestly, he has been given two months to live. He may make it to his 33rd birthday in February. WE had a great time talking about good times, families, and even tough stuff like planning funerals. Honestly thier spirits are fine, and they are doing very well. We didn't want the night to end. Angel is very insecure about his hair loss... and my DH said Angel, look its only hair... I'll shave my head too... so he will.

Anyway, hello, Belated Merry Christmas, Belated New Year, Thank ykou to all ...

So nice to see you back, Cindy, you were missed. Good to hear all the good news of the move and all.

And continued good wishes and prayer for your friend, Angel, and his family. Friends like you guys are what help so very much in days like this. And kudos to your hubby, a wonderful guy he is.

Good to see you, Cindy, Happy New Year.

Cindy, good to see you back again! Glad to hear that things went relatively well with the closing and the move. I hope things continue to go well with your children and adjustments to a new school as well.

Continued prayers for Angel and his family. My heart goes out to all who love him. You really touched me with what your DH said about Angel's hair loss... your DH is a wonderful man.

Again glad to see you are back and I must admit I am amazed that you only have 4 boxes left to unpack (I think we still have two from our move over a year ago  :teeth:) Enjoy your new home :)

I was thinking of you the other day Cindy, and I was thinking of Angel too, how brave that man is. I'm glad to hear you are all adjusting to the house , it's always exciting, best of luck with it. Nice to see you back!

It sounds like the move went very well, the house is great and the holidays were great! What a nice way to start the new year. :) I wish you all the best in your new home, Cindy. And yes, Will and I were just wondering the other day how you were doing. :)

I'm still praying for Angel and his family. I know he will be missed by many. :(

Welcome back Cindy! I'm glad you are all settled in your new home and that so many things went in your favor!

Sounds like your New Years was very special.

Welcome Back Cindy. Glad to hear that the move went well and that you had (as they say in Monopoly) a "Bank Error In Your Favor". I hope that your kids continue to have good luck adjusting to their new school. And continued prayers for Angel and his family.

Happy New House!!!

Yes, I did miss you! Just yesterday I was wondering when we would hear from you!
Glad everything went so well with the move.
Happy New Year and welcome to NJ!!!!
Denise:)

Of course we missed you! Glad to hear the move was/is going smoothly. Give your DH a giant {{{hug}}} for being such a great guy. He knows what true friendship really is. Warm thoughts extended to Angel and his family.

Welcome back, Cindy! I am glad the move-in went so smoothly. I can't believe how quickly you have unpacked--it would have taken me MONTHS, LOL! I am so sorry to hear about your friend Angel. I am glad to hear that their spirits are good--I think that good spirits can really help people have a better chance of survival despite very bad diagnoses. It is incredibly kind of your husband to offer to shave his head too. What a kind gesture. My prayers are with Angel and his family.

Glad you are back and things went well with the move.
Prayers & pixie dust to your friends!!!

I'm glad to see the whole ordeal is over. Enjoy your new home.....:D
