I'm Back - A Day Late!

Well, we just got back from 5 wonderful days at WDW. We were supposed to fly in last night, but got bumped & had to stay in Atlanta last night. As a result, we got $800 worth of airline vouchers !!! We must have been coated in pixie dust .

Looks like all is well here on the rewards board. Time to get back to clicking for my next trip. Have a great day everyone!

I am always hoping we will get bumped sometimes just so we can fly free next time!! LOL We have such flexible schedules that I would welcome being bumped!!

OMG! Were you on AirTran? I read another DISers post on the Transpotation board about some kind of mechanical problem with the plane and how they ended up getting back a day late. They weren't as happy as you.

Just back...will never fly AirTran again!!!!!!!! VERY LONG!

No, I was on Delta. They asked for volunteers to be bumped because the flight was overbooked (I read somewhere that this is a common airline practice). They told us the incentive they would offer & we were then able to make our decision. Of course we were thrilled since we are planning an upcoming WDW trip for next June.

One word of caution - you do have to use the vouchers within 1 year from the date of issue, so if your not planning to go on a trip within that time frame, it probably wouldn't be worth your while. You don't have to fly within 1 year, but you have to make your purchase within that time frame. They did give us all that info. up front. Of course other airlines may have different "rules", so I would always ask before making a decision.

We did fly Air Tran in June 2002 & thankfully had no problems.
