I'm an ice creamaholic. Where can I get my fix?

Where can I get some great ice cream? Im not talking about the ice cream on a stick thing but some great ice cream with a variety of flavors.

I love trying new flavor combinations but don't know where the best place to try to find it would be.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Ghirardelli is definitely the best in DD. You've also got Beaches n Cream at the Beach Club resort.

Beaches N Cream is my addiction when at WDW they have best banana split ever there. the food is not bad but we only go for the ice cream usually DTD ice cream is also good but so crowed usually as it a smaller shop probably same ice cream and the hot fudge at either place is to die for

Main St has Plaza Ice Cream Parlor...get a cookie stuffed with Ice Cream, great combo

I believe that all 'hard' ice cream inside Disney World serve Edy's ice cream. My father-in-law is addicted to the shop on Main Street in Magic Kingdom.....

Ghiradeli in DTD is very good (and different); so too in the Fountain inside the Dolphin.

Ghirardelli, The Dole Whip place (only 1 flavor but so good), the resorts (Pop Century) had a decent selection as well

Not to hijack, but do any of these places offer soft serve and/or candy toppings? I die for blizzards at DQ or McFlurries... vanilla soft serve with m&ms or peanut butter cups, I could eat it every day

We are also ice cream "aholics"! I would even go as far as saying we are kind of ice cream snobs My DH eats it every day almost...and since we live close to WDW we always seem to go there for our fix. Ghiardelli is good, really good...we love the Strike It Rich sundae. But the best, I mean the best sundae on property (if you ask us) is the 3 scoop sundae at Beaches & Cream. Three large scoops of vanilla bean, covered in warm peanut butter sauce and topped with whipped cream, slivered almonds and the crucial cherry! And you can ask for an extra bowl of the pb topping on the side...YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!
