We're taking my MIL in August and staying at BCV. One thing we've noticed when we go with other people is that we dine out more than we might normally. As I looked at our dining calculations, I realized that DxDP was just slightly more expensive than using our TIW discount. Then DH sat down with me and looked at our itinerary and said, "Why don't we take my mom to see Hoop Dee Doo Revue?" I looked it up online and found it was available for the one and only night we'd be able to do it, so I called, added the DxDP to our reservation and then the MS CM booked HDDR for me. :cool1:

If we ate any counter service at all, I'd be shocked - I have none planned and my son doesn't eat any CS food anyway. We have enough 2TS credit meals to make it worth it, though, and enough 1TS credit meals in the "let's take mom here" category. We might not ever do it again...especially after DS is an adult (he'll be 9 this October) because then it really won't be worth it unless some diet miracle occurs. ;) But this time, knock me over with a feather, it looks worth it. And we'll have new mugs to bring home with us!

But I gotta say - it's REALLY nice to be able to add the plan and not pay for it until check in! THANKS, DVC! :thumbsup2

I can't believe I just did that! I've been a very loyal fan of TIW, so now I feel like a big ol' traitor! ;)

:) Like you we are fans of DDP and OOP depending on who we travel with. Like you my MIL is traveling again with us this year. We are new owners and want to get APs for TIW and maybe do the DDP again this year. WE were discussing it the other day and I am swinging toward the TIW card for this upcoming trip to see how it really works for us. She and my parents love the convienence of DDP. So we will see

This will be our first trip to try HDDR, too. Great minds.......:wizard:
