Ive decided that my DD and I are total firework snobs ,last night we barely glanced out of the window at the pathetic fireworks near us , I mean no castle ,no tinkerbelle,no soaring music, and weeping from the audience :lmao: no im sorry to say after DLRP bonfire night does not reach our high standards :rotfl:

I think I'm an even bigger snob - even DLRP doesn't compare anymore to the display they put on while I was in Disneyland California :rotfl:

Hahah!! Snap snap snap!!

Rob, was it the julie andrews fireworks?!?! Loooooove that so much!! Where they do a section of fireworks for each ride?!? Starwars bit is awesome and indiana jones!!

I went on 4th July as well and the firewroks then weere like 45 minutes long!! I cried like a baby!!

Yes, that's the one (remember... dreams come true).

For anybody who doesn't know what Torsie and I are on about and would like to see, there's a few good videos on youtube. It's about 15 minutes long (much longer than the enchanted fireworks).

Ha, ha ha! That sounds like us too. We go in 9 days and didn't bother with the local fireworks display because we know what's coming!

And... it's carnival night in town tonight (one of the biggest in the UK), but we're not bothering with that either for the same reason. It's just tractors and lightbulbs as dh says.... :rotfl:

How could they ever compare?

No, we didn't bother with the local ones either. When my daughter made to moan, I did point out that she had had quite a few treats lately.
Then when we heard the wind and rain lashing against the windows last night, we were all glad. ;)

I'm a fireworks snob too (OK I admit it!!) I loved the Fireworks at Disneyland (loved the projections on the castle and matterhorn) but the best fireworks I have seen were the Christmas Illuminations at Epcot. For the finale they light up each country around the world showcase, send off some fireworks and say Merry Christmas in their language and then for the finale they send off the biggest amount of fireworks I have ever seen. If you stand on the concrete bridge between France and the UK pavillions you can actually feel is shake!!

Oh and BTW, I tried to convince DH last year to set off our fireworks to the Illumintions sounds track whilst I sailed my inflatable globe across our pond! He refused!! Although we did have an impressive firework display!

We went to our local display last night - the kids first questioned why there was no music then DS said " They were sooo lame - not as good as Disney"

My kids are firework snobs :lmao:

Our council always puts on a really good display which we used to go to when the kids were younger but sadly even these can't match up to Disney.
