The ride is the same, however, when the doors open, you will be able to see the lights of the park.

Both are located in the Hollywood backlot area of DCA. Crush is in the Disney Animation building. Muppet Vision is to the left of the main street down Hollywood.

They are mostly marshmallow and icing. It depends if you can handle those ingredients.

I haven't seen it yet either. It is a western, hillbilly vaudeville type show held inside the Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland. They also serve snacks.

What is the new Dream Home Like?

Sorry, don't know.

There used to be a motor boat ride, many years ago. I think they kept the "pier" and now it is a "smoking area."

THANKS!
:)

The Golden Horseshoe is a western saloon themed theater where Billy Hill and the Hillbillies do a show. Prior to that, it was a "dinner theater" style show, where you could get a light meal and enjoy the show. Now, you can get drinks and ice cream, or bring in a burger from the Stage Door Cantina.

The Dream Home is fabulous if you like technology and ways to make daily living fun. It's worth a walk through break in your day - make sure you catch each of the demonstration shows in each of the rooms. The kid's rooms are the coolest, with the boy's room being a Peter Pan adventure and the girl's room having it's magic mirror and computer desktop projected walls. We haven't see the kitchen demo yet, but make sure you see the front of the house one. They don't do it every time, but it is way cool.

This was the Pier for the Phantom Boats. They debuted early in the park history and were boats that you took a little slow moving cruise down a river on. They were a little too slow and eventually were retired.

You should visit a website called www.yesterdayland.com for fun retired attraction facts and photos.

In my experience, the line for ToT the last 2 hours the park is open is about the same as the first 2 hours the park is open. The rest of the day is relatively stable in terms of line length. If I wanted to ride ToT at night I would do as close to closing as possible without disrupting my plans for the rest of the night in Disneyland. In other words, I wouldn't hang out in DCA longer than planned just to have a shorter wait on ToT. The wait is never really that bad, even at peak, in my opinion. You can always FP it but FP isn't as helpful for that ride compared to others.

What is TOT like at night, is it better or pretty much the same, and hows the wait at night? The same only you can see the lights. I would get a FP, get 2 if you want to ride during the day as well. As you know the return times are flexible and you can use them anytime.

Turtle Talk is in the animation building, enter the building and bear right, you will head into TTwC. Muppet Vision is sort of behind the hot dog place (award weiners), just walk down the little street at the end of AW and you will see MV to your left....I think that's right. :) It's across from the Animation Bldg but not really very visible you do have to walk down a small "street" there.

Tigger Tails are heavenly, they are marshmallows on a stick, dipped in caramel and orange chocolate and then drizzled with milk chocolate. I didn't think I would like them because I'm not a fan of orange chocolate but my DD8 and I love to get these and share at least one every trip. :) If your intolerance won't let you try one then disregard my heavenly statement, they are horrible nasty yucky things. :rotfl:

Golden Horseshoe is GREAT!! We love Billy Hill and the Hillbillies and make it a priority to do this often. We will sit down and have cheesestick and chicken strips from the dining area, there is enough for 4 to share. Oh and we also share 2 ice cream sundaes as well. :)

What is the new Dream Home Like?
It was neat! I liked it but it's not something I want to do every trip. The Peter Pan room was fun, my b-day girl got to participate. :) We loved the table and I had fun in the kitchen. :)

I don't know the answer to this...sorry! It's always just been a pier when I've been there. lol

Sorry...:offtopic: But...when did they change the food they offered? They had chicken, and soup bowls, plus appetizer food and dessert last time we were there. What a bummer.

The past two years it's been finger foods. Chicken strips w/fries or apples, cheesesticks w/fries or apples, the ice cream sundaes and the mile high choclolate cake. I'm probably leaving something out but these are the ones we regularly eat there. :)

Turtle talk is in the animation building -to the right as you go in. The animation building is about half way down Hollywood Blvd coming from the Sunshine Plaza you will see Playhouse Disney, then a shop, then the animation building. Muppets 3-D is to right next to the Monsters Inc. ride. If you are facing Monsters, Muppets are to the left.

The show at the Golden Horseshoe is hilarious – they play fiddle music and do jokes. Don’t worry if you think you won’t like the music, it is still a very funny show! Last time I was there you could get food, desserts, snacks and drinks.

Do you think my DS(10) will think that Turtle talk is Lame? I can never tell if these things are for his age group or not?

As soon as you guys go in he'll probably realize that he doesn't want to sit on the floor, and will likely just sit in the seats with you. Crush might talk to him anyway. :)

But the kids sitting on the floor are, in my limited experience, much younger than 10, but it's worth going at least once no matter your age, just to see what it's about!

That age group seems to love Crush. They seem to enjoy trying to figure out the "how?" element while enjoying the Turtle. Remember, Crush is a cool dude! Perfect for 10 year old boys!

My 12 y.o. DD and one of her friends sat in the front when we were there in July. Crush talked to her friend. I don't think he will feel hesitant at all and I've seen kids of all ages sitting on the lily pads, I've even seen adults sit there with toddlers. :)

Ditto!!! the peter pan room is awesome and the story time feature was super fantastic. We could not get it to work but a cast member came over and asked us if we had saw story time we said no and him and another cast member started it up and all i can say was wow.. my DS got to pull the cannon during the movie and it shows up on the walls really really cool. My DS is 5 and he still talks about that. i signed up to receive info on it but never got anything in my email box.. forgot all about that i thinki need to inquire.
