Okay...
So I know there has been a thread on this but...seriously something is wrong with today's world.
We were talking in English about how some sayings wouldn't make sense if you used the sentence with the way the words normally mean.
Example :
Sometimes you have to take life by the horns.
-----
Okay well I was thinking about it and "I love you" is completely different when said now...
Would anyone else be mad at this situation :
Lets say you have a really good friend and he got a new girlfriend
then he goes out with her for less then a day and starts running around the place screaming "I LOVE HER SO MUCH" and writes it in PERM marker over EVERYTHING.
No.
Wait.
It gets better!
So then after a few months you give in saying "Well..thats lasted longer then any other relationship that Ive ever seen and you actually hang out and talk to each other.. maybe you really do love her a little"
THEN
NEXT WEEK AFTER SAYING THAT
They break up.
No wait.
It gets better!
So then he is HEARTBROKEN he completely shut himself down from the world, he wouldn't talk to anyone, and most importantly he wouldn't accept hugs...from ANYONE. (which is REALLY bad).
So then the next day he went out to the movies to get his mind off of it when he meets some girl from another school.
She just came up to him and said "I wanna have sex with you" (remember these are all 12/13 year olds) and so then he talked to her for 5 minutes and then immediately after she asked him out and so now they are
BUT WAIT IT GETS BETTER
The next day at school all he can talk about is his new girlfriend and how much he loves her, and i say "i cant believe i EVER felt sorry for you, because now you don't even CARE about your old girlfriend, and are going out with someone you have only known EXSISTED for 4 hours, but only talked to for 5 minutes...im sorry, but thats pathetic"
He also CHEATED on my best friend with his ex-gf.
AND IN EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HIS RELATIONSHIPS
HE ALWAYS LOVED THEM.
Is anyone else ticked off by this?
I think that teens cant love.
The only time i have ever seen TRUE teen love, is between my uncle and his wife.
Love -
IS NOT :
Just agreeing that you like someone and they like you back.
Just because you are going out with someone , doesn't mean you love them.
Half of the time people that are in relationships, were in relationships, before friendships.
LOVE
Is special, even I don't know what true love is.
I mean yes I love my friends like siblings but I don't LOVE LOVE. Even when I turn 16 and my crush and I go out, that doesn't mean that we are in love.
I don't know.
Am I just going crazy?
Does this make ANY sense at all?

(i know riiiight) but you know what, I still feel the same now as I did then, so I didn't not mean it before just because we hadn't been dating for a year.
